Just noticed your signature after reading Apples2's post.
I know you're not asking for advice, but here's some.
Why not sell your hoarded handbags and shoes to pay towards your debt, instead of taking a holiday ? Just a thought.
You are right. I'm not asking for advice. You don't know my family's circumstances.
That holiday will happen this year. It is desperately, desperately needed and I have denied it for too long. It is not a week on a beach. I don't feel I want to explain who it's for, or why, as I didn't ask you to comment.
You make my point for me really.Sealed pot challenge member #325

Thank you. I really, really didn't want to start a debate, or to pick on anyone.
I just hated desperation and feel for others in the same place.
I'm overly sensitive I think. Apologies to all I may have upsetSealed pot challenge member #325

You haven't upset anyone. If you are overly sensitive this may not be the best forum for you.

Kris's link is non-UK, but the same feature is available in the UK. That is why it is pointless getting your bank to cancel your card because you've "lost it" to try and avoid a payment through a CPA.0 -

This is not correct, VAU is not used by any PDL company that I am aware of. They very likely would not meet the participation requirements.
What has likely happened here is that the OP has taken out a loan with Cash Genie, not paid it back, and then continued applying for more PDLs.
Eventually he ran into another trading name of Ariste Holdings Ltd. and the new application was matched to his existing Cash Genie account.
Your bank will charge back the payments, and Cash Genie may not even challenge it. If they do however these payments may then be debited again by your bank at a later date, so it's probably something you may wish to check on.
If this happens it doesn't matter if you have the money available, your bank will put you into an unplanned overdraft if the charge back is reversed.0 -
