Gary, are you really sure you want a 32 inch TV, it is a well known fact that Flat screen TVs shrink with use.
Also if you are watching HD the smallest screen size that makes a difference to your televisual treats is around 40inches.

PS YouView Box for your PVR and Catchup needs.

  • We dont want anything too big and not too fussed about HD.

Thats what I said when I had a 32 inch telly.
Interestingly now that the bezels around the screens have them selves reduced from around 60mm to less that 10 mm, you can get a larger screen within the same overall profile.
Presumably your new TV will have a Freeview HD tuner, so you'll be getting BBC1,2,3,4 HD ,BBC news HD, ITV HD and Channel 4HD, would be a shame not to make the most of them.

Indeed. The smallest screen in our house is 27" and that's a computer monitor!

We have a 46" in the bedroom and a 55" in the living room. Neither overpowers the room and it's amazing how quickly we became accustomed to the larger sizes.

Regardless, OP seems to be set on the Richer Sounds 32" model.

Indeed, SIL has a 47 inch TV which is not much bigger than my older 40 inch one.
Its 3D as well which naturally I dismissed as a fad until I put the specs on now I want one!
I get the Sky 3D channel as part of the HD pack.

It does have that initial "WOW" factor (we have it too), but it swiftly loses it's novelty. I have to say I'm not one of those who suffers any ill-effects from extended viewing, however.
