O2 to Sky first migrations

When did the first customers migrate from O2 to Sky ?

It will be interesting to see what offers (if any) emerge when their 12 months' minimum is served.

  • I believe they started around the beginning of November, I was transferred towards the end of Nov and certainly was not the first. No offers taken up, just what they offered me for broadband only.

It was earlier than that, as I migrated in October, but I don't think my question will be relevant, now, as they have stopped line rental saver, making them pence cheaper than BT monthly and much dearer had one wished to save by paying a year in advance, so I won't be staying.

I think lots of us will regret having moved to Sky (from O2 broadband and BT phone), as we have lost the option of inclusive evening calls from BT, the new packages being weekend inclusive only....and BT still do line saver (but for how long ?)
  • Well I was in two minds when my BT line rental saver came up for renewal just before I moved to Sky. But when Sky removed their free weekday evening package BT was clearly the cheaper deal so I committed to another year of LRS and a new one year BT contract to get the free caller display. I suspect BT will drop it sometime at which point I will consider again, but it was very clear to me that Sky Talk was not the cheapest whatever they said and others like Plus Net had similar things that ruled them out as well.
