Sorry, I haven't checked in for a couple of days - busy busy couple if days. Out at the fireworks last night, which was really good (and completely free apart from buying some food).
Congratulations Birdseed for reaching target! I will do your roll of honour when I get the laptop out tonight - just off to eat some dinner first!0 -

Payday today so that's another £97.99 towards the awful credit card. :T
Only 2 more Friday paydays before job finishes for the winter - considering whether to try for other jobs or try to make enough online to make increased payments over the next few months.Thank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0 -

Don't go too mad on Christmas shopping everyone - I've set my budget and I'm not going a penny over this year otherwise I'll regret it by January.:santa2:Blitz that mortgage

Well I was slightly naughty today... I sort of bought a new mobile phone. My current phone still works ok, but my tablet is starting to give up the goose. I figured I will need a new tablet in around 3 months, and a new phone in around 6, so I decided to combine the two and buy a smartphone.
I did my research though - I read loads of reviews for the best budget smartphone, I tracked down the cheapest shop to buy it in, and I also bought a pre-loaded gift card through my work to get 7.5% off. So I'm still trying to be MSE0 -
I still have 4 figures in the bank which is unheard of for this time of the month :rotfl: I predict I should have a good chunk left at the end of the month if I don't go mad. Only 2 weeks til OH gets paid and two a half for me. C'mon Amr, stay strong....resist those spendy urges!0

Had some extra invoices paid, i.e the money wasn't already assigned to pay the normal monthly bills.
We fitted a radiator to our bathroom (there wasn't any heating in there) and I had budgeted £100 for the central heating parts etc. It was coming under budget and then we had to lift the toilet slightly to put the new flooring under and discovered that the toilet was leaking in several places. So had to buy a new toilet and DH and a friend fitted that after Church the following day! So we ended up spending over but I did have some money spare as previously mentioned so fortunately it wasn't the end of the world, just a shame. Still I have a brand new toilet, never had that before!!
I've managed to pay back some money borrowed from DH's Tax ISA for the holiday deposit and I kept £6 back to pay off the card.
Every little helps!

Paid another £20 off the debt today. I'm not doing too well money wise at all this past few months, and can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Spending Diary isn't showing any unusual or non-essential buys.
Sold a few things on Ebay, but TBH with their fees I get next to nothing from the sales apart from free space, and the higher the price goes the more I seem to have to pay  I'd swear the fees have went up on there!
So no more ebaying for me as it just isn't worth it:(
