Advice on claiming for missing parcel from Sports Direct please :D

Back in mid november I ordered 5 pairs of trainers for just over £100 from sportsdirect.com. Their couriers emailed me a few days later to say this parcel had been delivered and left with a neighbour. I had no card through my door and had to speak to Yodel (the couriers) online chat to find out what number it had been left at. They told me it was number 38 but I was told by this neighbour twice (by her and by her and her son) that this parcel was not with them. Yodel then told me to contact Sports Direct which I did. I gave them all the details and filled out a downloaded claims form. You can only contact SD by email or letter and their customer service is annoyingly slow. They have since said that I have to contact the police, who gave me a crime number. I told SD I need either my goods or my money back to which they replied I need to contact Yodel or the police. I told them THEY are Yodels customer and THEY need to make a claim from them and have since received no reply. I have a feeling they delivered to the wrong block of flats.
I am appaled at their lack of customer service and have had enough of being pushed from pillar to post. Can anyone recommend what course of action I should take next as this has gone on long enough and I need this sorted urgently!
Many thanks in advance:mad:

If you paid by card, you can try finding out about the chargeback procedure eg contact Visa if you paid by Visa card.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Thanks, I usually pay using my visa credit card ... but on this occasion I paid with my visa debit (bank) card0

Looking at reviews online its a common problem. Sports Direct really couldn't care less now they have my money.
I don't see why I should lose £100 through no fault of my own and I've really had enough of their attitude0 -
I think you can still speak to Visa if you used a debit card.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Cheers, that would be my last port of call but I don't see why Sports Direct should just get away with such bad customer service
I certainly shall not be buying from them again0 -

In this instance you would have had no extra protection by paying by credit card. That would only have helped if you had bought an item costing more than £100. As mentioned above, you can still try and initiate a chargeback for debit card transactions though.0 -
Try a debit card charge back, and if that doesn't work, send a letter before action given them 14 days to refund or supply goods.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
An interesting thing you might also like to know is that the Distance Selling Regulations gives retailers 30 days to perform their obligations (unless you agreed otherwise). Therefore if 30 days has passed since you ordered and they have failed to deliver then the contract will be treated as if it never existed, and it will be as if you gave them a cancellation notice on the 30th day.0

Thanks for your help; but SD keep saying the items have been delivered and Yodel say they are 100% sure they were. Which is frustrating for me as I am stuck in the middle having spent £100 on nothing ... so far!0
