I will be sending ALL members of the challenge a message requesting your current up to date totals, as of 31 July 2014.

We only had 16 members submit totals (at the end of June) out of 109 members that signed up for the challenge.

Note - I'm not trawling through this topic and reading signatures to find totals out. You need to Inbox them to me.
  • I'm sorry to say this, but does that really matter? Some people take it more seriously than others, do we need PMs sent out almost every month?

Anyway, I got another 13 pence from Amazon for eBook sales.

So my total for July is - £9.04

My total for the year is - £220.52

Hey, if people would rather not bother then thats fine by me
16 people taking part out of 109 (115) people that went "yes, we will join in with this" is quite low.
Does make me wonder if its worth bothering about next year (or continuing with for this year).
  • I'm not saying this thread isn't worth it, I for one am enjoying it and viewing it as a fun challenge. I just think that if last month's PM didn't bring many people back then this month's won't either. People are spending more time on holiday or with their kids, and away from their PCs so they're not earning extra or visiting forums.

I certainly wouldn't just close the thread in the middle of the year. See it through to the end and then if you don't want to run it next year you can always see if someone else will. Maybe give it until September or October and then send out another PM when people are starting to look towards the Christmas spending, once the long nights start to draw in people spend more time online anyway.

Thanks op for keeping on top of this thread. For me I use it as and when Ii can. It's a great form of inspiration and a reminder for me to get back on my money making task. People are busy esp this time of year with kids etc.. Perhaps it would be easier just to declare a total at the end of the year? Or let people just display their running totals in their sigs??

    Hi,

Can I join in on this challenge? I know its rather late in the year, but I think I might be able to do it. I think this is a really good challenge and I love a good challenge.

I've reached the target mainly due to all the overtime I've been able to do at work this year. I'm going to try and aim for the 3k mark now

What would you say are the best ways to make £2014?

So far I am going through my old books to sell, bagging up old clothes to give to a £1.50 a kilo place and I am putting spare change in a tin that requires a tin opener to get into.
