O/S Daily Thursday 26th December - Boxing Day

Afternoon All,

Had FIL, DD, SIL and DGS for Christmas dinner. DD insisted OH stay in lounge and she would do the cooking - big mistake! DD means well but still has a lot to learn about cooking - OH had to do her best to rescue meal .FIL had a little too much to drink and became quite loud. But somehow we scrambled through until 6pm until they all went home.

DGS got lots of presents, but his two favourites seem to be a car transporter (with 4 cars) which he played with yesterday and a frog glove puppet which he played with this afternoon.

Went to see mum (92) this afternoon and she was looking good. She spent Christmas Day with my 2 sisters and obviously had an enjoyable day.

Looking forward to a quiet evening watching TV, hopefully we can find something decent to watch.

Evening all,

Had a lovely day yesterday, lots of thoughtful presents and good food. No arguing either and I felt very blessed.
Today was a bit more relaxed. A quiet morn fg trying to find a place for DGS toys and then a couple of hours at my MIL this afternoon. It's really a party for the grandchildren so very noisy but good fun.
Now back home relaxing, dd and bf are currently making. Lamb curry with some leftovers from yesterday.
I've enjoyed Christmas but shall be glad to get back to normal tomorrow.
I'm trying not to think about my operation on 6th Jan but it is lurking in the back of my mind.
