DROPSOFJUPITER thankyou my lovely, i have pmd you
MSGIGGLEWICK there are a few of us on here in the situation where we no longer have anything to do with our parents, i sympathise with you, and have often thought what would i do in this situation, i have decided i wouldnt as it would open up old wounds etc etc BUT only you can decide, no one can advise you, you have to go with your heart and decide whether you cannot go back over old ground or would the guilt hit you when it was too late, sending hugs to you
OMO that quote has tickled me tonight :rotfl:

Baby Boo sorry I missed you last night! I'd have hung around had I have known. Life seems so unkind at times doesn't it. You are having a tough time (DH too) I have a feeling you are local ish. Is there anything I can do? Really, truly that is a genuine offer. Please pm if I can help in anyway xxx
B_e_g wow did you loose 7.5lb in your first week? How are you finding SW, must say I'm really pleased with it, once you've done a couple of weeks it becomes second natureMsgigglewick is an expert
she's done amazingly well on it. I've come to a complete standstill at e moment and have to admit I've done the 5:2 diet this week, Monday will show if it's done any good. Still got 7-10lbs I'd rather not be hanging onto!

Nanamia - glad to see you back
and guess what... SUNSHINE! ok maybe not a great deal of head in it... but it's got till 4pm before guests arrive so plenty of time for it to figure out how to put some of that out
Msgigglewick - it is a tough decision, remember there is no right or wrong thing to do, don't do anything just because you "feel you should", social constructs have horrible ways of forcing us to do things we don't want to. There is only what is right for you. Mrs-moneypenny's letter idea is a great 3rd option. Hope you are able to figure out what's best for you.
I think every family has that person, or group of people that they are better off distanced from, I'm kind of lucky in a way my uncle has managed to drink himself into such a stupor he doesn't know who we are any more, he turned up in the village drunk on a Sunday.. it's always on a sunday because there are no buses back for us to shove him on! So me and Dad had to take him home (he was being a pest at my Grandparents friends house ggrr!). Our car over heated and my uncle said while my dad was out fixing it "he's a nice man" and "you should get in touch with my brother he's a mechanic he'd fix it for you" ... My dad was that mechanic brother, who stopped being a mechanic 26 years ago! I'm 25 tomorrow so if he's stuck 26 years ago he probably doesn't know I exist even...It's shocking what some people do to themselves... But as I said it's much easier to make decisions and distance yourself when they don't even know who you are
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
Afternoon everyone
Quite a frost this morning but we did have some nice sunshine whilst shopping. Got lawns cut and by then it has become overcast and cooled down somewhat- hopefully it will stay dry as I have washing out and another load still to hang out.
Yep Nana, 7.5lbs loss for week one. Was going to treat myself to some choccie egg when I got back after weigh in (as a reward you understand) and then realised it was after 9pm and I had to fast from then for blood tests on Tuesday morning. So the egg is still intact - been longingly looking at it all week so I will try again after next Monday wi. I have eaten the little flakes that were with the egg (counted them in of course). I seem to struggle with the whole group thing - don't mind listening about everyone else's losses and gains but I just feel awkward/embarrassed when it comes to my turn.
Great to hear you have been out and about with DH :T
msgigglewick - what an awful decision you have to make. Mrs M's letter is a good idea, I think. Hope you make the right choice for you at the end of the day.
OMO - I could just about manage to make it around that block :rotfl:
Enjoy the weekend everyone

I have finally got everything to finish dd's bedroom. I just need to make the curtains and cushions.
I made a bit of a mistake today. Not really a bad mistake, but a silly one. Fingers has a little electric quad bike at his house and he loves it. I saw one on FB for £10 yesterday and bought it. I went shopping today and filled the boot of the car then went off to collect his new toy. Only it wasn't a little kids electric quad bike. It was a bloody massive kids electric quad bike. He will still be riding aged 10. :rotfl:
We had to empty the whole car and put the seats down, then squeeze everything else round it. :rotfl:0 -
Evening everyone,
NANAMIA it did make me laugh theres you buying a pond and me trying to get rid of one and trying to think how on earth i am going to fill in a 10ft by 12ft by 5ft deep as well as get rid of all the water :rotfl:glad you got out for an hour and have had a better day, have a lovely time with DGD2 tonight
