Congratulations Freespirit your live and house will never be the same again :D

This selling malarkey may bring bring in the cash, but it makes your house a blooming mess. We have stuff everywhere !!
Made about £200 so far and if we sell the rest of the bits we should make another £200.

I need to go back to Asda and get dd another duvet cover to make curtains and cushion covers from. The curtains won't be hard as she has a blind and they will just be for show. I will get that on Saturday. Goodness knows when I will have the time or the room to make them. I can't remember my house ever looking like this. I just have to keep thinking about the money. :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hi everyone,

Thanks again for more warm welcomes.

Although i have managed to get lots of stuff for the new house, got the contract and mortagw offer to post back today, so fingers crossed we are not too far away from exchanging!

Welcome KatieBee  Good luck with the contracts exchange.
Congratulations Freespirit, fab news :j Personally I think people born at the beginning of November are the best (guess when my birthday is lol).
JJ - amazing as always, you really are so brave taking all the horrible things in your stride
OMO, I know how you feel with the house in a mess but the money and new things will make it all worth while. :)
Drops of Jupiter - wow, that's scary. My sister once had a full size candle that suddenly flared up and the flame was above the top of the jar and since then I've always kept to the 'never leave a candle unattended' advice. :(
Newthrift - respect to the Christmas folders!

Not much to report here, no Christmas prep done as drowning in birthdays again at the moment. Getting to spend lots of lovely time with grandchildren though and have a special 'afternoon tea' here on Monday for DGDs 5th birthday. We've bought her a Mamas and Papas dolls pram that is big enough to last til she's about 10 so hope she likes it. It was an Amazon bargain before Christmas so very MSE :D

I too am doing family research and have recently 'met up' online with my cousin who I haven't had any contact with for about 30 years as she's also doing it. We've been able to swap information and it's nice to have someone to get excited with when a new discovery is made! I'm doing my Mum's family, my Dad's family and my husband's family so I'm getting my money's worth out of Ancestry :D I'm interested in ancestors and where the various families originated rather than in meeting up with living relatives I don't know though. I'm definitely one of those people who prefers email to phone calls lol.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Afternoon everyone, well i now know why i was feeling sick the other day i have cystitus, i havent had it for over 25 years and forgot how painful it flipping is, last night was absolutely awful, poor DD2 has had it for nearly two years she has been on antibiotics for 18 months and had an op to stretch her bladder, but now she is pregnant she cant take anything for it  Well there are disadvantages of buying and wrapping for christmas so early :rotfl:seen as she will a) be in her own house and b) just had a baby i gave DD2 her PJs from the xmas hamper last night so she can get some wear out of them and a christmas recipe book from her stocking :rotfl:she wants to host christmas dinner this year, her OH must have thought i was potty when a) i already had christmas presents and b) they were even wrapped, DD2 didnt bat an eyelid haha

DROPSOFJUPITER i must have completely missed the bit about your yankee candle, i have been burning them for years and never had any problems, that is very scary, makes me more vigilant now

OMO thankyou i know i can see all dirty handprints all over my new white coffee table :rotfl::rotfl:I know you hate mess as much as me but wow that is blooming fab, i wish i lived up there nothing goes down here unless you sell it for peanuts at the moment, at least you know it will all be gone quickly, well done!

BETSIE thankyou, hope your foot is still recovering well

PEPPAPIG thankyou, aww your afternoon tea for DGD sounds lovely, i bet she will love the pram. I had a similar thing happen, one of my cousins got in touch through one of the FH sites who i hadnt seen for over 40 years, we said the same thing we would swap info, i gave her all of mine and never heard a blooming thing back about hers, i was fuming. Yes me too i am exactly the same, emailing is enough :rotfl:

Freespirit Congratulations to you & all the family!

Hope everyone is keeping well. I haven't been doing much in the way of Christmas shopping as got too many birthdays at this time of year. All the presents have been bought but have very little storage so will have to wait until I deliver the birthday pressies before I start on Christmas.
