OMO thank you so much for the JJ update
We don't have a time frame at the moment for the operation, but he will be having his cardioversion next week as it's quite urgent.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Mrs Moneypenny and Nanamia, thank you I did enjoy "The Book Thief."
It was exciting, and heart warming but my mascara stained my cheeks too.
As far as easy reading, most of it I read when tired in bed. The next night I often had to reread a chapter but that was OK as chapters are short. Not an easy read but not requiring full concentration either. Just requires emotional investment. The book is very moving.
Had a rest / finished book this afternoon, both boys at their Auntie and Uncle's house for the afternoon. Both doing well. DS1 makes me read "Don't worry, Hugless Douglas" to him every night, despite the fact he knows all the words so can happily "read" it himself in the daytime. DS2 is 4 1/2 months and has started eating "solids". He rolled all the way over yesterday for the first time and is generally getting playful. My nearly three year old now "reads" the touch and feel books I read to him as a baby, to his baby brother. Precious times. Both my boys have the most adorable giggles when they're getting tickled. Wish I could bottle that sound and give it to all who need healing
Nanamia hope DH's meds get sorted.
Glad to hear JJ is on the mend.
Fiesty sending thoughts and prayers to you and DH.

Hello, JJ , how bloo/y amazing are you? great to know she is on the mend. keep it up .
Nanamia, you did get your right arms meds sorted? good. The shopping wasn't as much of a pain as I thought it would be.
Feisty, Poor DH, and poor you, too. I hope he doesn't have to wait too long, hugs to you.
Lousy weather here, although dry, the wind is so strong that the pegs won't hold the washing on the line, so yesterday I had to keep chasing it all over the garden. I remembered too, to go to the altzheimers support coffee morning, yesterday. I bought cake in a moment of weakness, but gave it to my friend before any of the pesky calories could escape my way.
My other friends washing machine has stopped working so I did a load of washing for her yesterday as, she said, she had run out of knickers. Blimey, at the size of them I don't know why she bothers!! My gussets are bigger than her drawers. And on that note....... bye xx0 -
MrsInvis - you never fail to raise a smile with your posts, thank you my lovely, I needed that this morning!
Well seeing as we are currently a one income house (and a paltry one at that) we decided to see if we could sell the house and ease up some monthly outgoings (dreaded ftbi scheme sees a whopping £200 on top of our mortgage going to the government in interest each month), but sadly the only ones that will house us and the dogs were more expensive than our current expenditure and in completely rotten areas. I had managed to convince myself that we could just downsize with a new mortgage, but stupidly based it on my salary predictions for this year that I did before DH was ill. I've had to take a shocking amount of time off unpaid, and sadly the business turnover has drastically suffered as a resultWe wouldn't even be eligible for a mortgage on a room in a house
So we are stuck and now I'm really worried about having to renew our mortgage in August as a new lender isn't going to approve us, and our current one may ask for proof of earnings

Thanks to a voucher that someone handed me yesterday in M&S I managed to get 20% off some birthday gifts that was buying and as the voucher is valid until Monday I've passed it to my mum so that she can use it too. :j
Some people are so kind!
It looked like one of the vouchers that you get if you have a M&S card (but this voucher states that it is for your friends & family to use).A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.
