Unopened gift scam back again.

I don't see the problem. If people are stupid enough to bid on items then good luck to the seller. If we banned everything that was a bit of a trick then there would be very little "reality" tv, no funfair games, no "sales" in the shops and little else going on.
It is up to the buyer to choose if they really want to bid on the item and if they feel they have been mislead then there is a route to deal with this and appropriate feedback to leave.0 -
These listings can be reported "Report item >> Listing Practices >> Other Listing Practices Policy Violations >> Chance Listings," although eBay might not care enough to remove them.
Anyway, I think these "unopened gifts" are simply some of the seller's unsold items.0 -
Exactly. Got a load of old unsellable tat?. Just wait until Christmas/Valentines day & wrap up said tat & sell it as 'unwanted gift'.
Some mug will by it. Job done.Never Knowingly Understood.

Slightly different but how many unwanted hair grips and One Direction stationery can one family receive as presents? Not to mention socks and hats! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/poppitsands13/m.html?item=321284148943&pt=UK_Home_Garden_PensPencils_WritingEquipment_SM&hash=item4ace070ecf&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l25620

Someone has been round the sales and is trying, in a not too subtle way to pretend they are not selling as a business.
