Sonys technical support kicked me in this chaps direction themselves.
A German chap written this Sony compatable software where you can syncronise ,text , and more all from the computer.
Check it out. Brilliant and just what I was looking for.
Makes sonys phone suite laugthable.
This chap asks for donations for his software.I paid a little on the first evening and going to givesomemore.

I have had this programme for some time and I can confirm its a really usefull peace of kit0

i can also confirm this is great software. i find it useful for the phones keypad option which allows you to control you phone from your pc0
