    Merry Christmas!

DS2 has kindly given us his cold so we are struggling with Rudolph red noses. Ho Ho Humbug :(

DD is away at her inlaws for the first time at Christmas - they celebrate with a big dinner mid afternoon and don't have a Christmas tree. Due to bad weather they are having to spend a lot of time indoors, so she is feeling quite strange; at least she won't get this cold!

Waiting for my parents to drop in: they relish their lunch alone these days - beautifully laid table, candelabra, three courses, and ending just in time for the Queen's speech and a quiet doze.

Thinking of all who are sad or struggling today x

  • Merry Christmas everyone, hugs for the poorlies. Had a lovely layin till 9, which was much needed and appreciated as was woken at 4am by the ppl behind us having a blazing row in their back garden . Scarlett was not impressed and showed it by giving a few woofs of disagreement . Everyone was happy with their presents , I got some beautiful sheepskin slippers that are keeping my feet lovely and toastie, and a tablet , chocolates some wool and knitting needles . Turkey crown in in the oven and veg is all prepped table is laid so having a quiet half hour . Will be going to see the god children later this evening with their presents they were up at ten past two , am so glad we don't have little ones now that want to get up so early. Have a lovely day all

We had an early Christmas dinner, as in about an hour Me and The Duchess are off out to an invitation only lock in at our local Indian Restaurant. We will leave the house full of teenagers to party!

Happy Christmas all....waiting for dinner to cook, been for breakfast to DS3, then to SIL, BIL, have all eaten so much that I am not sure much dinner will be eaten, just spoken to DS" and DD3 who have traveled from London and Perth respectively to meet in Bangkok and are now enjoying a whirl around Cambodia....so nice

:xmassign: Merry Christmas one and all x :xmastree:

We like a fairly quiet day. Breakfast together which is a novelty - croissants and bucks fizz - and then I went up to Church. Simple lunch (pate on toast) and then we've watched a bit of telly. Our neighbour popped round for a brew and a chinwag too, which was nice.

Hubby has just gone through to cut some potatoes for dinner, aiming to eat at 7:30. We've got a pork & stuffing joint this year, with yorkshire puds and then the standard trimmings - roasties, sproutles, new potatoes, cranberry sauce, pigs in blankets. Looking forward to it.

However you are spending the rest of your day, I hope you enjoy it.
Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.
    Baby due July 2018.

    Merry Xmas all!
Sitting here stuffed with Turkey, puddings and quality street. We had my first ever Xmas with just DH, kids and me - so stayed in pjs all day. I thought having no visitors or obligations would be a nice change, but it was a bit dull tbh - DH fell asleep and kids sat on consoles all day, just like the average Sunday!
Hope everyone got nice pressies xx
