Why the hell did you order a physical gift card on the 23rd?
Wouldnt it have made more sense to buy a email gift card then its instant??0 -
Can't believe everyone is jumping down OP's throat here.
It's not as if they ordered a gift card via super saver delivery and expected it to go though the first class RM system and arrive the following day.
If the gift card comes with free next day delivery, then that is what you would expect.
I'm guessing if it was not advertised as next-day delivery then OP wouldn't have bothered buying it.
It also appears that DPD haven't shifted the item out of their depot, yet claimed the driver couldn't find the address.
Either way, a service was advertised and not provided. OP has every reason to be irritated.
OP's not frustrated because they ordered too late for it to be delivered on time, OP is annoyed that they offered a service for last minute buyers and the courier service let them down.0 -
So OP, you waited till the 23rd to buy a gift card and then is surprised when it's not delivered the next day !Why order a physical gift card on the 23rd and EXPECT it to arrive next day? You should have just ordered the email gift certificate in the first place. Why the hell did you order a physical gift card on the 23rd?
I'm amazed so many people are too stupid to understand what 'next day delivery' means.0 -

I know! I guess the clue is in the name of the service being provided... haha. Totally beyond some people on here.
To be honest, it seems that the delivery may have never even left a hub in Birmingham (which is more than 120 miles away from me). I reckon DPD were unable to deliver for this reason, but instead falsely claimed it had arrived locally and then stated they couldn't find my address to prevent a breach of contract with Amazon.
Tracking now claims its gone from my local depot, back to Birmingham (120 miles in the wrong direction???) - when presumably it will magically appear back at my local depot AGAIN on Friday, only for my address to be 'found' the next time around? :rotfl:
Can I refuse delivery over the phone I wonder...0 -

I understand perfectly what next day delivery means, you mong.0 -
Exactly what happened to me on the 14th Dec for hubbies birthday.
I paid for next day delivery and it never came for 2 days.
Tracking said they couldn't find address but delivery driver eventually arrived and said there was not instructions for next day delivery and I could have had it 2 days before as she had it in her house ready for delivery.
Bloody cheek I think. This was Yodel.0 -

We all KNOW what it means. We ALSO know that at this time of year there is a much higher chance of this NOT happening. So the sensible people wouldn't rely on it.
I'm amazed some people have no common sense.
PS - Merry Christmas.0 -
DPD are miles ahead of any other courier I know.0
