Which Dry Dog Food to Prevent Kidney Stones? (as cheap as possible, erk!)

Hi everyone! Our dog has just had a bladder op (well two actually as the first one went wrong and they had to open her up and restitch her..) to remove a heap of kidney stones. My husband spoke to the vet today about a couple of other issues (ie her weeing everywhere since she came home) and we were told she needs to be on…

As well as diet dogs with bladder stones benefit from an increased water intake which dilutes the urine - feeding tinned rather than dry food, adding water to food, flavouring water with stock or using a water fountain can all help. In addition encouraging them to urinate as often as possible reduces the risk of stone formation.
