What despicable people. I really despair for the human race.

Are you absolutely certain someone took them? Strong winds blowing from unusual directions can do weird things, even snapping cable ties.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, OP. Some people are mindless and will steal things just for the sheer hell of it. I noticed this a lot in the town where I was growing up (it was a borough of London, but I expect you get this to a certain extent everywhere). The shop I used to work in even gave up putting charity boxes on the counter because they just used to get stolen. So unfortunately I've come to think that anything that gets left in a public place risks getting nicked :(

Yea. Mum had a good look round for any debris or anything, and there was a tie remain that was clearly cut :(

There are, but there are also a lot of good people who would have seen the decorations and smiled at how loved these strangers are.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • The other thing that springs to mind is where is the bench?

If its in a garden of remembrance or similar then ornaments such as these or wind chimes etc may have been removed by workmen

I would contact your local paper and get them to run a story and get the whole town angry!

    Some people are just vile.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    It's on a beach promenade.
