Morning all,
I've been a bit busy the last couple of days and haven't really had time to visit you all
Hope everyone is well and not too blown about by the wind yesterday.
DS1 came home yesterday morning, trains were ok then but by the time DD came home in the early evening she had a bit of a wait and then a slow train, but at least she got here in one piece.
It seems so noisy having a house full again but I do love it!
DH has to work today as his phone and the doorbell didn't stop with various people asking him to look at their leaky roofs or blown about fences. Don't think he will be able to fit them all in today!
So have a fabulous day today and here is wishing you all a very Merry Christmasx

:hello: Morning Everyone
Almost all jobs done, do need to do an Asd@ trip, but not for food stuff.
Tru. Here are the patterns, I got the link from someone on here, I have the largest (teen size) one made but not decorated, and almost finished the child one, will FB piccies when finished.
BBrain chains?? So pleased you got some help while shopping, can you send some of the Xmas spirit here, think I need to borrow retromums kids, as I feel you need little kids around at Xmas, and by the way, kids won't remember your clean house, but will remember mardy Mum, think they want your attention, being naughty gets it.
While going out to adult friends for lunch on Christmas Day, doesn't feel right without seeing DS, but we have to take turns, the distance makes it harder.
PP. Nice to see you posting
((Hugs)) Molly will message you when I have finished this.
The weather is now looking like affecting our NY trip, we were planning to go on the 27th down as far as Brackley, staying overnight there, before going on on the 28th, looking at the weather ATM, it will be late 28th before we could even consider taking a caravan on the road.:mad: will keep an eye on it, as it has been know to change, and they have got it wrong before now!
Looked for some sheet puff pastry, but didn't find any, though not sure baking, and barking over it, is wise anyway, maybe wait until I am really clear. DH now started with it, but of course man flu! Bet midnight service may be out, as he had not slept much last night he tells me (he's still decamped to the spare bed)
To all our posters, old and new, and lurkers, have a lovely Christmas, hope you all get your wishes. To those not up to par, hope you soon feel better, ((hugs)), Spoons, Hi-5's, and Positive Vibes all round. Take care everyone, forget the chores and enjoy the days.

Good morning everyone
Managed to sleep for almost 12 hours last night and feel much better for it today. DH says he can't believe I slept through some of the worst weather, the wind is still pretty wild here and quite a few people in the street seem to have lost their external Christmas decorations. I know it's been a lot worse elsewhere and hope everyone hasn't suffered too much from the effects.
DD, GDD and friend are coming to us this afternoon so am sure the wine will be flowing here early too. I may join tru in a cheeky earlier one, I always cook better after a glass or two :rotfl:
We are having buffet food today with lots of dim sum and mini garlic bread rolls filled with salmon and little sausages and whatever else I fancy making. We have brioche rolls and pain au chocolat for breakfast tomorrow morning, then DD, GDD and friend are heading home for Christmas lunch and we get to eat whatever we want! GDD is back on Boxing Day as DD is working at Cream.
Love and hugs to anyone who is sick or is suffering in any way. Keep well and safe and warm and thank you for the friendship you all offer every day of every year.
I hope everyone has a wonderful very happy and peaceful Christmas.

Morning all,
Not managing to post every day but reading when I can. Hope none of you are too badly affected by the weather. Very breezy here just a bit of fence damage.
Today is a leisurely morning, then we shall take our daughter down to her boyfriends as she is loaded up with pressies. DGS is at his daddies tonight but will be back with us at lunch tomorrow.
We shall pop and have a couple of drinks with dd and bf and then back to begin prepping for tomorrow. I have a couple of cakes to do and hubby is making his special sherry trifle. Also want to set the table and prep the veg.
Hopefully snuggles in front of the fire tonight when everything's done.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, I will be thinking of you even if I don't post.:santa2:Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning:xmastree::xmastree:
My favourite day today, love it! What an amazing year it's been.
Sat watching film of The Nativity which is magical and I like my children to know that Xmas is not all about Santa and presents.
Today I have a couple of things still to wrap and photos to print.... Noah really misses our hens as they have died over the year. So I have got him a frame which holds 3 photos and will do a photo of him with each hen. He will love it!
A surprise for his stocking.
Noah at his dads till 11am tomorrow.
Cooking huge ham today and having it with jackets, spicy corn cobs and HM coleslaw.
We have eggs Benedict Xmas morning with some of the ham.
Noah still very stressed and took to his bed a lot of yesterday. Still seeing psychiatrist and starting CBT in new year which I pray helps him..... Autism etc is enough for him without all of this.
He isn't eating much at all. Trying to get him to at least have full fat milkshake twice a day.
Mrs milks has no idea what's happening but enjoying the lights and music.
Going to make egg nog today and watch Elf:-)
DH and I will have nice couple time tonight before the family madness starts tomorrow!
Tru...... One of our girls died from impacted crop... Despite syringing oil in and crop massage bless her.
Molly.... Sending love and prayers your way.
Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas!0 -
Morning all,
windy but worse to come here. Just getting ready to go to a "drop in" at the minister's house while DH has his new crown fitted. Who sang "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"? well, he's having a side one
DS2 just came back with the bread - and found £1 on the pavement. I should have gone over instead :rotfl:
Running out the door, so enjoy the day!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Well, DS2 just made my day. It's his birthday today and he is in Cambodia but we managed to skype. He's having a ball and pleased cos it's the coolest it has ever been in Cambodia at this time (about 25 degrees!).
Have a good Christmas Eve. Take care XX0 -
Morning all,
the wind seems to have died down for now. I still had to physically push Ginge out of the door this morning to 'relieve' herself. Blackun is a trooper, bad weather doesn't put her off but Ginge is another matter.
Such sadness in my heart today. My daughters partner in South Africa is mourning the loss of her nephew. He was 14. He died yesterday from complications after routine surgery. The loss of a child is something no parent should have to face but far too many of us do.
Today I have got a few last minute preparations to do for tomorrow but generally, not too much to do today.
Hubby is still working. Talking about working.... hubby has been headhunted. I'm not saying too much about it at the moment as the details haven't been finalized yet but as soon as they are, i'll share his news.

Morning All
Tru sorry to hear about pepper chicken
(((((((((Gentle Hugs))))))))) for Molly, Jools, Penpin, LW and anyone else who needs one.
DS has just phoned to say that they lost 8 fence panels at work and rain has got into the building somehow, so all the work he did yesterday was for naught.
Just had a big delivery of pallets so that is the stove sorted for ChristmasDH can sort through it when he gets home, DS was a star bringing it all in by himself.
DD is going to town to get the anniversary card for the outlaws for me, so I can concentrate on getting everything ready for tomorrow.
Steak and chips tonight so a nice and easy dinner.
A Very Happy Christmas to you all x x x
