Have a lovely day everyone! Looks a little foggy out there today but hoping it will clear as I am meeting up with my parents on the beach this morning for walkies with our doggies! I am not keen being out in the fog - it feels eerie and scary!

Woo well done FF!!! Lovely prize!

Just been down on the beach with my parents and our dogs and it was really strange! We could hardly see 10 metres ahead and all we could hear were the fog horns from the ships out at sea!!! But there was no wind either so it actually felt really mild! Anyway, just got back and all of a sudden the sun is out and the fog is swirling away back out to sea!! So eerie but quite amazing!

Happy Monday everyone. Its soooo nice to be back in our own bed I didn't want to get up today.

DD1 picking me up soon for a coffee and catch up.

Well done on your parcel firefly. Always a 'handy' one to win. Came back to a beautiful show of poppies which really cheered us up.

Was going to try and take the Yarm win the night before we go away but think we will leave it until later when we have time to look around as well. That was we will be able to make the most of it.

Hi everyone,

Home safely now. Had a bad night as Fire Alarm went off in hotel at 2.30am! Didn't really get back to sleep after that. It was horrible outside at that time - really foggy. We didn't have to stay out too long though and I have claimed the £29 night cost back under the Premier Inns Good Sleep Guarantee. Wasn't sure whether we should claim but decided to see if it worked or not. Girl offered right away when I said I hadn't slept again.
Sun been shining all day for us though and we had a lovely morning in Ripon. Stopped off at Table Table on way home to have some free burgers from their rewards scheme so don't need to cook now.
Came home to a John Frieda win of sachets and bangles.
Will have to clear out our ensuite later so plumber and joiner can get started tomorrow. Got washing on as we won't have any water tomorrow.
