 you'll have to grow some catmint in pots & have them round
near your kitchen back door bella, midges hate the smell of it
trouble is then you'll get the cats coming for a high on it :rotfl:
best bet is the citronella buckets, we have them placed on summer evenings round the seating/eating areas & seems to do the trick

:T Thanks for the tips FF! :T
We have a few cats that pay a visit so it might be good evening viewing to see them dancing merrily around the garden! :rotfl: AND they might keep the pesky seagulls out of the garden too!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I've always made my own apple sauce, but never tried making mint before... I find some of the shop bought one taste too vinegary.
By the way, talking of apple sauce, I have a humongous
I think this is to Syl? It is for recommending the Lidl apple turnovers which are unbeatably delicious :j :j :j :j :j0 -

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well - have only skimmed over the posts so hope I haven't missed anything important. Well done on the wins Sylvia and FF.
Had a lovely day coming back from Lancaster - came back through the lakes which were pretty busy. DH wanted to go to Grange over Sands to get pies though so best to keep him happy. Have posted a few pics on FB if anyone wants to see them. (Won't be offended if you don't)

We are both tired out FF - we tend to walk far too much. Really enjoyed it though. If we had known we were going to be able to have 3 nights away we would have stayed down in Stoke for an extra night as it was nice to explore places down there. Had stayed there once before quite a long time ago on the way to Torquay but only managed to see the Monkey Forest then.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Just had a text from DS3 saying he isn't coming home tonight and DD sent us one at 4.30 saying she was camping another night at a friend's house with some other friends. We could have stayed away another night :mad:Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Good Morning,
Been raining through the night and looking dull at the moment. O'h well at least it was nice for us when we were away.
I misunderstood DS3's text last night and locked him out! He said he was at a friends and would see us in the morning so I thought he meant he was staying there. He phoned us at 1.30am saying he was locked out. :rotfl:
Really must get some comps done. Internet was pretty slow in the hotels and didn't have the patience or time to do many.
Good luck everyone.
