Morning Rose and FF and everyone else! Bright here so warmish in the sun. Cannot believe it is hump day already - seems the weeks are just flying over! Going to potter on today and get my washing up to date because I don't think it is going to be as nice tomorrow. Hope you have a lucky day!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I just want to say a BIG thank you to all who posted Birthday wishes for me yesterday. They really made my day. Also a special thank you to those who don't usually come in the Inn often who came in especially.
I had a lovely day with a lovely meal with OH's family. My DS is coming over to see me tonight so that will be lovely too, especially as he usually forgets all about birthdays.
Its lovely and sunny here today.
Hope you all manage to do the thing that you want to get done today and most of all have a lucky day with lots of wins.

hiya sylv, yes I've the ordinary garden mint in the land but have 3 pots of mint specially kept in big pots which are diff types,
apple mint, spearmint & lemon mint (some call it lemon balm)
they've diff flavours & diff smells smell & use them all differently for cooking/flavouring etc,
like to change the soil/compost in them every year so's they grow nice & fresh again :jplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Hi everyone!
Rose - congratulations on your laptop!!! :T :T :T :j :j :j That's a brill prize...
Saw you ask on the other thread about FB and winning - I think it's just a case of entering. I haven't won on any that have just required me to 'Like', but have won on a few that required a comment / question answered.
Just realised I said "brill"... I may have returned to the 1980s... It's all these "Meet and Greet New Kids on the Block" comps making me feel like I'm in a time warp... And "Kids" - who are they trying to, err, kid?!
Bella - love a bit of lamb at Easter: what a fab prize to have won. If you have a shoulder/leg and are looking for an easy, leave-in-the-oven type recipe can recommend this one:
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1108644/slowroast-lamb-with-cinnamon-fennel-and-citrus
I fed it at a dinner party over Christmas, and everyone loved it. Think I might make it on Easter Sunday (also my Mum's birthday!) again, with a nice roast chicken for Mum, as lamb is a bit fatty for her stomach to handle.
We've got a huge glut of eggs from our 3 chooks at the moment, so I have been making a few egg dishes...
Eggnog icecream (non alcoholic version!), and a crustless quiche... Probably going to make meringues later... Trying to work out a good Easter theme. I'm thinking I might make two meringue circles, one of them with a fluffy tail that shows at the top, then fill bottom layer with fruit / cream, and put the smaller circle on top, and give it a nose / eyes etc to make an easter bunny... The sort of rabbit pavlova equivalent of this:
F**F - your varieties of mint sound lovely, I've come across spearmint and lemon mint before, but not apple mint, which sounds intriguing!
[Ok, got to pause this here and say, wow, I just received an email about making meringues. I think the internet gods are watching what I say in here  ]
A few nice parcels this morning... Pressies for my mum's birthday (bought her some jewellery online - via one of the sites on TopCashback :j ), my Janjira spa items and choccies prize from a Pinterest comp I did, and my St Tropez tan oil also from a Pinterest board :j :j :j :j0 -
Hi Jess!
Thanks for the recipe idea! Looks lovely!
Well done on your wins too! Your prizes sound lovely!
Good luck with your bunny rabbit pavlovas!!! If you make them you'll have to take a photo of them! I love decorating cakes more than baking them! The problem I always have is cutting into them as I see my masterpiece crumble before my eyes lol!
Lovely to hear you are feeling happier too! Enjoy your baking Jess! I would love some chooks too!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
