Well done to all the winners. Have been having a lovely time. We are at second hotel and it is really nice. We booked dinner though and it took 2 hours to have a 3 course meal (couldn't be bothered waiting on coffee) Waitress wasn't bothered and just said they were busy. Complained at reception and next I knew restaurant manager called in. He appeared at our door to apologise and says he has taken all food off our bill! (about £42) He offered us a free drink too but we refused - didn't really want to make as much fuss. DH says I am a right moan. lol He is pleased though.

remember that well from when we used to do our own rose :eek:
old tip from years ago if you have any old onions or onions you won't be using,
peel & slice them & place round the room you're painting in & the onions absorb the odour,
we always did that & it always worked

Been lovely thanks FF. Been to Mow Cop Folly and Biddulph Grange Gardens. Walked to Frodsham when we arrived at our hotel too - 20 mins to get down to it and about 40 mins to climb back up! Haven't downloaded pics yet. DH used to holiday in Frodsham when young and spent time at Frodsham Hill at Helter Skelter which is where this hotel is we think. Will investigate tomorrow

Long time lurker in this thread but just had to say...I have finally cleared the board! I haven't been comping so much lately as had change of job role/restructure which has been quite stressful and other family issues! However, I am on annual leave so have been determined to get caught up. Thanks to all who take / have the time to post the comps :j
