Buy a student cookbook. Loads available on amazon. They will teach you the basics of cooking step-by-step, and are designed for people who are total novices with no time( less inclination!) and no money. Probably the best £5 you will spend.
Yea I recommend 'Nosh for Students' by Joy May:female: INFP :female:0 -
Fair do's
So tell us the post code ( ie sw??) and we can point you in the right direction on where to buy good cheap food
Btw it's been my experience to either eat my main meal in work if there's been a canteen or to hit a " greasy jo cafe". Caf!s who cater for the building trade usually do great lunch food for around a fiver
I am thinking to settle around Leyton station: it has a 24 ASDA, gym and restaurants altogether0 -
Don't know that area at all ( must be 30 years or more since I was there )
But asda do good ready meals, have a pizza bar, hot chicken counter etc
I know if there is a morrisons they do a fantastic salad bar
Tbh even though I'm a chef in real life, real life I work unsociable hours and also cba to cook and I often by a bit of hot chicken and shove it in a roll
I also eat in weatherspoons and when I live in london I found the local Indian caf!s fantastic, really cheap esp if eating veggie
So you might not have a really balanced diet but cheap eating out/takeaways is easy enough and won't kill you short term0 -
I dont like indian cuisine, I dont like the smell
I know very well the weatherspoons and I hate them
at least in wood green that i was, they didn't prepare well the dishes (they didnt heat them enough, etc) and the result was miserable0 -

Got to agree because as you have already said thers certain foods you don't think you like and have decided you don't like other peoples cooking
Cooking is so easy. When me and hubby first got together we had one of those wee caravan stoves, two rings and an oven, but you couldn't use the lot in one go. I still used to make a roast and 3 veg and spuds every Sunday
If I had had a microwave as well I'd have been in heaven0 -
What do you eat now? If you don't cook, can't you just do the same in London?Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
No because I will be alone in London0

You may want to look in to having ready meals delivered to you. there are a variety of companies that do this. They have a menu for you to chose from.
Wiltshire farms is one I have heard of and meals start from about £3 each. I am sure if you search the net for ready meal delivery you will find a few firms that do these.0
