does anyone know a workaround, possibly call divert that could be used? thank you :)

The digits you refer to are the country identifier code on a SIM - 44 is the code for the UK. The facility to receive calls free abroad is a feature of the tariff and has nothing to do with O2's T&C's.

Quite why your callers are being charged 'Jersey' rates is a mystery - O2 do not have a network there, unless you are mistaking this for calling you in the UK direct to your mobile? That would be about right.

No it is not (http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100124135714AABd1fM). The 5 or 6 numbers after that will identify it as a CI number.

The SIM number and mobile numbers for Jersey are not the same. 07937 is the code for Jersey mobiles.

Your O2 tariff dictates which codes are accepted as inclusive - historically, the CI were treated as part of the UK by most networks, but quickly dropped this. O2 appear to have finally got round to doing it.

Although I'm still unclear why your callers are firing charged CI rates.

My family would call my 07937 number -- previously no charge for them or I .. now they have to pay the rates to call a Jersey number .. does anyone know is there a work around for this or another company that offers roaming services?

It is a JT dialling code! If you mean O2UK is now charging your callers CI rates to connect, this would be correct, as you are on a non-UK network. Switch to Skype In to resolve the problem.

As they have moved the goal posts, you can cancel your contract FOC.

Can he really? There has been threads on this topic already, even if he could cancel, then what? He is still in the same position he is now.
