  • Lizzielie, your trip report was great, thanks. I just wondered when you said
"$50 credit at Monte Carlo x2: Used for Brands as done once before."

Does that mean you were able to use both $50 credits for the same meal? I assume you and your husband got one reward each but don't know whether you are able to use two at the same table.

can anyone recommend which is the best way to book my flights as I am looking at stopping at new York for 3 nights before having 7 nights in vegas,is it cheaper to use travel reps for this as I still was looking at sorting out my accommadation myself

Just a heads up for anyone looking to see Celine Dion, it seems she has now had to cancel all shows until March next year.

Have you tried kayak.co.uk? I find them good for multi trip pricing.

agree with martyn187 - I would check kayak first using the multi-city option and see what sort of prices I could get for Home -> NYC -> Vegas -> Home...I would then go direct to the airline to check prices on their website and probably use the airline's website to make the booking (I don't like using 3rd parties).

    I would also check

Home -> NYC, Vegas -> Home and see what a one-way internal flight from NYC to Vegas would cost for comparison purposes...need to watch luggage charges as internal US flights mostly charge for luggage.

You could also for the heck of it check transatlantic return to NYC and internal return NYC to Vegas but that gets a bit more dangerous on the way back, if your Vegas -> NYC flight is late and you miss the return leg of your transatlantic flight...I would still check it just to see.

In October we're flying LHR -> Chicago, Vegas -> LGW on Virgin and taking an internal flight with AA for Chicago -> Vegas as it was just a lot cheaper for our dates to do it this way. Since we are stopping to see family for a few days and then flying out of Chicago we're not worried about any issues with the internal flight...I wouldn't do it this way if we were flying straight out of Chicago after landing on the Virgin flight, that would make me nervous as AA wouldn't have any obligation to get me on a plane if I missed the connection from the Virgin flight I booked separately.

I am amused by this message I just received on fly.com - I was checking for internal US flights for a friend and received this message:

Save $9000000 when using nearby airports.

If there is a fare anywhere for $9m that does not involve part purchase of an aircraft then I would be surprised. :)

Yeah, this is for 4 nights (a Mon-Fri stay). Glad it seems a good deal - never looked at Venetian before and the Mrs has never fancied it, however showed her some pics of rooms and she changed her mind quite quickly... from the pictures I showed her, she actually thought I was paying for an upgrade there (rather than just plumping for the cheapest room!) :D

Good luck with your search! :)

We stayed at Venetian about 7 years ago. We stayed at Palazzo last year. I preferred Palazzo, but Venetian was still fab! And I think Venetian has been done up lately, so it may be nicer now anyway. Last year when we booked 4 nights and 2 nights separately on Priceline we ended up with 4 nights Palazzo and 2 nights Venetian. They let us stay at Palazzo right through. Could be an option to ask if you wanted. As I say though Venetian may well be just as nice (rooms are exact same layout), so unlikely to matter much either way. Very good price. No good deal for our dates, we're a bit later than you and it seems to make a difference.

    Thanks Cornwall Girl:)

In answer to your question, the MC credit was indeed one each and used at the same table.

Tix4Tonite. 6 or 7 locations up and down the strip.Get there before they open, usually 10am, and youll get your pick of that evenings shows.

The one by Peppermill seemed to have smaller queues (certainly than FSM and near PH).....no monster hotels next door/opposite.
