at the moment we are with Virgin on a broadband 60mb, talk weekends and M tv.
When my contract ends, I would like to have broadband only.
The M tv I think will be the same as free view. We do not use the house phone as everyone has a mobile.
At the moment we are paying £120 for a phone line we only answer to crank calls.
For broadband we have cable plugged direct into the desk top and for that I understand we do not need to buy phone line.
can anyone say what the best computer deal only will be for us and cost?
Thank you.

If you have broadband (not mobile) from any other provider, you will have to have a landline, either from them or elsewhere, but for the best deals you need to have the two from the same provider.0

In general dropping the phone line and taking BB only on VM doesn't save much as the BB is discounted if you have the phone too. Since I dropped the phone, saving £3 iirc, VM have introduced a similar system to BT based ISPs allowing you to pay for the phone a year in advance in exchange for a discount. You really need to phone in and see what they can offer. If you say you are considering an alternate provider they should put you through to retentions who can offer better dearls than the normal CS people.0
