New comper looking for car competitions!

Hey all, new to the whole comping scene but wanted to get started entering competitions on something I really need!
My car is a rite state, 100,000+ mile fiesta that gets me to uni every day (40 miles each way) and I worry on a daily basis about it's ability to get me there! As a student money is tight so I really just want to enter loads of car competitions over the winter break.
I've looked any any questions I've seen relating to this were never answered, so I just want to ask you lovely people... Where is the best place to go to enter car competitions? Where do you go?
Thanks everyone in advance!

Thank you fire**fly, I have entered that one already!
I am more thinking about which of the competition sites out there are good for entering 20-30 competition a day that aren't just a whole lot of scammy deals.
It may be that there aren't sites out there that offer honest car competitions and I just have to look for ones on here on a daily basis!0 -
guess so, wishing you lots of good luck winning one xx

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

I admire your ambition, but there just aren't that many cars out there to be won. If you're lucky, you may find a few per month - at most!
Perhaps widen your horizons to comps offering cash, or things which can be sold to raise cash towards a new carAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½
