Yeah, but she's taken all the wine.

    Yes tomorrow for my foot!!

dunno how I'm going to afford a solicitor as she's wiped the bank accounts clean. I'm literally penniless. I haven't had a drink or a fag for 2 days as I can't afford them!!

She's even cleared the sheds of all stashes. God she must of had loads of family (parents, sister, nieces) helping her this morning!!! It's all gone and I don't have her new address!!!

Oh scamps that is a nasty thing to do.
I would be tempted to call police and say you have come home to find you have been burgled. At least then it is logged for divorce proceedings later on.

Clearing the house when occupant is out is seriously frowned upon. Division of these assets is meant to be mutually agreed even if by email.
Take plenty of photos. I would think it hard to put a value on your stashes as ex knows about glitching.

I would call police and make a list of everything you think is missing (for value porposes later.) Then at least you will have a crime number as it is a crime to remove things without notice.
It is a shame but I would say someone knew you would be out and they took there change. Doesnt sound like she was expexting to be disturbed.

On the subject of clearing bank account get the statements printed for this account as will be able to show most money was put in in cash not from wifes wages.
Get a half hour appointment with solicitor and get advice. They will bill you later or if free consultation you can either pay them to contact her or they will give you a template letter. To file for divorce you need cold hard cash so I expect your wife will do this. It is not important who files and reasons have no bearing on settlement.
Call police and report burgary and make solicitors appointment asap. If your chosen solicitor doesnt do leagal aid she can put you onto someone who does.

We are all thinking of you and are here to support you as much as we can.
Some of us have been through similar experiences.

Scamps - do you have any friends who could lend you money until the next time you are paid? Do you have a separate bank account you can get your pay safely put in?

    Afternoon peeps. :)

Been a busy week trying to sort things out!! it was my son's birthday yesterday, so today I took him and his family to Bridgwater to see his Nan (my mum). Started early so I could get back and have a talk with the wife. So I was a bit surprised to come back and find....
Empty kitchen!!! all ornaments, pictures, pots and pans gone!!!
A few bits that she's left.

Funny enough, I thought there was something about today, What was it now. Ah yes, that's it.....
12 years to the day since we first got together. :(
She moved into her new place today. The games have begun!!!!

That's a kick in the cojones, isn't it? Sorry to hear that:(

What does it say on the bin, though .... 'Keep Calm':)

Thankyou peeps for your kind words and thankyou Qoc for your offer. I just tried to speak to my wife about all the stuff and her mother answered, she shouted that she needs all the things she took, including the m&s stuff as it's mostly womens stuff!!! She then politly told me to go away, not!! God, I could do with a drink right now. :(

Now I am thinking about it I met someone through Freecycle who had a similar thing happened. Her OH (I seem to think he had mental health issues previously but a while back) cleared the house totally - took every stick of furniture including the beds and left her and her teenage son with nothing whatsoever.

She managed to re furbish the house, bit by bit through Freecycle so once the initial shock is over this might be a route you might take - at least you might get a bog standard TV to tide you over.

Also a bit of a personnel question re the alchol - is this ongoing, just thinking that maybe AA might be something you could try. A long while ago I knew someone who went to AA and the support network they have is fabulous.

I was also thinking of legal aid - not sure now how people are accessed for it now?

I am also thinking is there a MSE forum that deals with divorce and legal problems ????

Freecycles brilliant. Friends of mine done their flat up using them. I'll have a look to see what's on there. :)

Alcohol is not an ongoing thing, I only drink at social times. It dosen't worry me not having a drink, but I do fancy one now. i found a bottle of wine in one of the sheds. Alibali :D How long has that been in there. :rotfl:
