I dream of it... I used to go to work on a monday, and return on the friday with the car rammed to the hilts.

I have been trying to figure out the deal with triggers and would appreciate help! Am I right in saying that if, for example, sada have a multi-buy and one item from that multi-buy is missing from sada.com but it does appear as an extra item on MSL then it shouldn't appear on APG? Therefore the full price of remaining items you bought as part of the multibuy are compared to other stores instead of the discounted price you actually paid?

I've been experimenting trying to find triggers but it hasn't worked for me so not sure if I'm doing it right?

Hi there (all) - just lost a post (I think) due to this site blocking me - I think because of a short outage. I was only really talking about some Ibuprofen at 22p in Aldi (32pvs 25p Sains on APG, so don't rush for special journey!).

Nearly there - but it's the other way round - you'd need to have the extra item on sada.com, and the item from the m'buy missing from msl (msm). Remember the 'missing item' (on sada.com but not msl) doesn't count towards the 8 minimum diff. items, so you need one more in its place that does appear on msm (&a.com) but best to get a few more than that, unless you're me:rotfl::(:eek::D.

No, you're wrong! Triggers are easy to find, if you spend a lot of time going methodically through every mbuy on a.com and look for any item that's missing on msm. I've found loads of them and they can be quite easy to find. (Don't expect them necessarily if you are after a particular type of item though.) Hint: more often they are items that are newly available on a.com but have yet to make it to msm. The greater difficulty, I've found, is actually finding them in store rather than finding them as a possible trigger - it seems we are out in the sticks sometimes. That said I found one item (now no longer in trigger status) in one, slightly smaller superstore but not in a much larger one. (Don't ask me!)

This all said, you can also find you can spend a significant amount of time going through a hundred items (where the mbuy has a large number of items such as that in it) only to find they are all matched up on a.com and msm. I suspect the Mila Roses in the 2 for £3 are still all triggers - they've never appeared on msm yet to my knowledge (watch them appear yesterday!). So - main point is - if you have got the time, to do it properly, you can find them. (I'd say, every time you come across an item that is part of an mbuy on msm - and that's where you should start your shopping from - check to see, first if there are other items in that mbuy (you can do by clicking on where it says "2 for £3" or whatever) and, if there are, then go to a.com to check if the number of items on a.com is the same as the number on msm (and sign in and out on msm for any differences there - I take the highest number I get on msm and then see if that is still lower than a.com - if it is, I start looking). I never now buy into a mbuy unless there is a trigger. Robinson's 4 pack Fruit Shoots have come and gone at 94p and 99p and £1 at rivals, on and off and around other stores and back again, but sadly always all versions of them on a.com & msm. One doesn't show when signed in for me (on msm), but, sign out, and hey presto, it is there:mad:.)

Just now looking around, Kell's Crunchy Nut are now on offer, but :(it's a 2 for £5 offer in A - who ever would buy them at that price when they've been £2 each before? Btw, my guide price on them is looking for half price offers of £1.34 elsewhere (and then Avs), so that's a long way short.:(:( All 5 items in A's 2 for £5 mix and match are showing on msm sadly, so no good there. Would be so great if they had 6 on a.com and only 5 on msm and had the Crunchy Nut on half price in M with it comparing to that on APG. We can live and dream...:D I just need those four things to coincide at exactly the same time...

I think the prices on M's website are now pretty much what's in store, so M's website now very usable. Showing 400ml Pantenes for example at £1.84 (:rotfl:rather than £1.89 as I previously had it:( - frown due to my 5p inaccuracy:rotfl::rotfl:). However, I'll still go (just tomorrow) as it's sometimes easier to see the whole of what's on offer by walking through a store rather than trying to find it searching online and we don't have the msm price per unit abilities etc. on m.co.uk. (I find it easier to use msm.co.uk than to search on any of the store's own websites.)
