In fact I have an excel chart somewhere for my expenditure for a holiday a few years back.
The deposit I'd paid for with clubcard vouchers so that left about half to pay and over the course of the next 8 months I saved another money I made from ebay sales, Amazon books, money off vouchers and conditional spends etc - all of that extra little bits of money covered the rest of the cost of the holiday plus the night before hotel etc.

Sadly those days are long gone now ...

I have loads of pastry, and loads of chocolate eyes that could be melted down...don't know what to make though :o
If it's puff pastry, and as you've got chocolate chips, you could make some chocolate croissants

and no need to melt down the chocolate first.

Or if you've got some peanut butter, here's a recipe for some little chocolate pillows (looks like sweet pastry ravioli)

    Or mini chocolate puff pastries

I drove to Cirencester today and the Cotswold Water Park seems to have extended its boundaries somewhat! The park near T's is completely flooded as well.

The wind here is whipping up like billio, sounds very dark and blustery....*Sings* "Heathcliff.........."

Not good is it, trouble is books are one of my very bad weaknesses, cant resist buying them eg when the Works has them marked down to 24p or 49p . The house is so stuffed with books and I love winning books from Twitter - most have won another 20 last year, seems to be my one talent.

So sadly quite a few of my larger heavier books now go to the Oxfam bookshop

My sister was given quite a few from her friend who used to be a book publisher so I have sold a few of these for her.

I have an ongoing ad in The Friday ad to try to sell a few banana boxes full of books which are currently sitting under a bed.I usually shift a few when I do boot sales in the summer.

My hobby for 4 years was selling books. From when I first got my first laptop in 2006.

    In 2006 i made £675
    2007 £1033
    2008 £696
    2009 £441
    2010 £247

As you can see the amounts went down due to royal mails postage increases.
I didn't do trade in but sold on marketplace on Amazon,Ebay.Play and greennmet. Also traded in on Musicmagpie cds and dvds. They send you a free postage label.

Selling books is very hard work now so I don't sell many now although I have still a few hundred listed.Only non fiction books sell and the thinner and lighter the better.

This is my hobby as well, it has been for the past ten years, I sell 1st editions, signed, lined and doodled books, stop listing a while ago due to all the fees and postage going through the roof. I really do need to start selling them again, I only started selling books to fund building my own collection up but it turned into a mini business and when all the fees and postage sky rocked and people stop buying I gave up a bit, OH reckons I am too attach to the books to sell them, I have given a lot away to charity auctions but I must admit I have still a lot to sell. I just do not know where is the best place to sell them now,

    Morning
Yes both walls are external.this room has French doors to garden so no windows to leave on ventilation,DS has asked if they can fit one of those vents that slide open on the door.

I think new building regs state all double glazing has to have vents put in top. I remember when I was in window trade we had to redo serverla tower blocks as council had not put vents in and frame was not wide enough to accomodate. Alternatively a piece of glass in door with fan vent would help.
My dd house has the vents but still doest solve her problem.
