I need a glitch on a slow cooker!
We've got gammon for dinner and I already have tons of coke
I want to try that recipe
This seams ok 40% off and if you can get a amazon code to work even better
if you cook gammon or a ham in coke the only thing it will taste of is coke you then have to pour away the coke
if you cook it in water with a leak onions cloves bay leaves ect and leave it in the water to cool and take in the flavours
you will be left with a nice stock for soup or stew and it will taste wonderful a world away from one cooked in coke

(written by a colleague of mine, which prompted these memories...)
“After reading about the ‘busy drawer’ I went upstairs to sort mine out (I call it my 'messy drawer'), and this is what I found: odd curtain hooks, bits of string, clips with a hairnet not in a packet, odd buttons, typed labels cut from envelopes, small plastic packets containing an odd button and thread for urgent repairs from new garments, bits of ribbons cut from inside blouses or jumpers, spools from a sewing machine I used to have, bobbins with the odd length of cotton enough to sew a button on, elastic bands now perished and stuck together, odd paper clips which need to be nipped together with pliers before using, odd press-studs, a rubber with short bits of pencils already sharpened, blunt scissors which I can’t get my fingers into, half a packet of crepe paper, a small box with decorative bows for use on presents, odd sizes of safety pins stuck onto a magnet, a small pincushion, a darning mushroom with cards of mending wool, paper stapler and clips, crimping scissors and two pairs of plastic ones for children.
I’ve always believed in a place for everything and everything in its place. I’m not a hoarder. Just watch, the first thing I need I won’t be able to find.”
Youngest son cleared out man drawer at Christmas - no idea where everything went but all it has now is 2 lots of shoe polish and a clothes brush
I've cleaned out my inbox - actually a square basket that has sat on my desk forever - now all filed or recycled :j
Also my newspaper pile is in the recycling as is most of the mags apart from the Christmas ones and the Tesco turkey mags.
I am running out of things now to clean and clear up
I wish I could be bothered to start ebaying again or at least have a go at selling things on the local facebook page - all seems to be a lot of faff
Ok confession time, one thing have not tackled yet - I still have some of my Dads things from when we cleared out his room at the home, not ready for this just yet.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Evening everyone!
I have a terrible feeling I'm coming down with a bug or something, I'm type 2 and my sugars were sky high last night for no apparent reason, about double what they'd normally be after a big meal, and this morning they were 8.6 when they'd be 5-6 normally, these are the readings I get when I'm ill, so something must be brewing
Apart from a headache and the sniffles I feel fine! NOT happy!
Going to test after dinner and see what they are, if they're high again I'm definitely coming down with summat!
aaaaaaaaaaanyway..........
I picked up 3 lovely tins of biccies in a T's express earlier, including a big Victoria tin down to £2.50, all going to the foodbank as I'm back on the SW bandwagon and helpfully the church where they hold the meetings has a Foodbank collection point! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023
