Well my friend has replied, it's all ok. I didn't know she and the family have been ill all this holiday and has only been doing things on xmas day and boxing day.

She's promised me there's no issue, just time has marched on etc.

I am not sure how it's been left this long without a meet-up even taking that into account but there's no use splitting hairs over it, it's in the past, at least I can go forward knowing our friendship's ok.

Thank you everyone for your help, I am still crying but like I said, I need to so obviously I have to get that release xxx
