I want to take a moment to thank the Elite for being there for me through what has been a difficult year for me. The support has at times totally overwhelmed me, you are such an amazing bunch of people. I can honestly say I don't think I would have made it to 2014 without all the laughs on the way, there are a few of you who continue to keep me smiling thought the difficult times and you know who you are. :A:A:A

I raise a glass to my mum and to all those with absent family and friends and of course to our friend Madmuppet.

    Love you all Elite xxx

Totally agree TS - to those with absent family and friends :beer:

Sorry FC I lied when I said we wouldn't laugh :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Did you offer him the remains of his slice :rotfl:

No I tried a stupid, jibberish attempt at an explanation of why I was licking his cake :o:D :rotfl::rotfl:

He's very quiet, well mannered and bless him hasn't really lived a real life outside of boarding school.....I think this holiday has been an eye opener for him  I think he's enjoyed it though :D:rotfl:

    Ok...embarrassing cake story.

I bought a FANTASTIC chocolate cake on Xmas Eve! whoopsied to £1 :j:j:j it really was an indulgent beast of a cake. My kids absolutely love chocolate cake :D

On boxing night I asked the kids (and my guest) if they wanted a piece and was met with lots of yes pleases. So OH cut 4 big chunks (I don't use knives :D:rotfl:) I was sorting hot drinks for them all. Someone informed us that DS1 didn't want any cake.......this is where it all went wrong :o I was in the utility getting milk for the drinks and OH put the unwanted slice of cake back in the box (I didn't know this)

After I thought all the wanted pieces of cake had been claimed...and gone. There was a piece left on the work top.....the spare piece, I thought. I was alone in the kitchen....so I licked it :D and stuck my fingers in it....and licked them :D and licked it again :D

My OH wandered in and looked at me like I had 2 heads and did that nudgey obvious look that means.....'behind you' :o he had just told our guest that his cake was on the work top and the poor lad had came looking for his cake and was stood there looking very uncomfortable whilst I licked it to death :o:o:o :rotfl::rotfl:

I just dont have the words:rotfl:

actually laughing but, like everyone else on here I suspect, cringing and thinking there but for the grace of god go I !!!

    Happy New Year Elite

I am so grateful for your support and help getting through my toughest year yet. You really carried me along at times :A I never believed I'd find such a caring bunch on the internet of all places.

I hope in 2014 I can begin to repay your kindness :D

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.
