Oh no :( I bet you gave him some grief for that ;)

I had to have the knitting needle to break my waters with DS :o

It was a strange sensation, not unpleasant at all :) I remember being surprised that the water was warm, the midwife looked at me like I was some sort of dullard and said what did you expect :rotfl:

Well to be honest I wasn t bothered. Better than that though when I did get him on the phone the next morning and told him he took it all in his stride and when he arrived at the hospital a bit later insisted he had a cigarette in the waiting room first before he saw her. Strange guy.

    How's about in 2014
arranging a bit of a get together
    in each local area
I baggy TM to arrange our area

Ours would be easy. Me, scamps, Lou and stu. We'd be better off going over the bridge :D

Depends on the maternity unit. In a straightforward pregnancy our hospital doesn't offer induction until term+12. If there are no induction beds free it is not uncommon for that to be deferred further, although baby would be monitored.

I have known women decline induction and go to term+18

I was born 18 days late. No surprise really as I have carried on my tradition and hardly ever on time for anything. :o

DD1 has been told induction 3rd jan which is 12 days over for her. I hope things get moving before then though.

Have decided to open my key lime vodka from Grand Designs (or IDH for those that got it there). It's been tempting me all week. I will probably hit the ceiling at some point drinking it, not from alcohol content but the green colouring. I certainly don't remember it being quite this bright green.

    +18 OMG

I was taken in at +12, spent 2 very uncomfortable days in hospital...it was boiling on that antenatal ward. It was November FGS.

The heating is still on in the summer too

I held on to my waters right until I was ready to push. :o Had to be broken all 3 times. Remember one of them having a tiny scratch on their head from it. Apparently it makes for a more comfortable labour if they stay intact.

I did that with H. My friend had come in to deliver me. I was getting a little too high on the gas and air and she took it off me  I turned to her and said I'd get her back in a minute ;) One giant push, waters popped, she got wet :rotfl: I always have a spare pair of knickers in my work bag for such eventualities
