Woohoo sold an item on eBay and got paid immediately £24 after fees
Can I ask what you sold. I have seen people making £25 -50 on ebay on one item, while I make £30 for 5 things!!
Please advise, so I have an idea if I'm missing a trick, and could list other bits.
Thank you!

£43 avon profit plus another £40ish expected this time
MS linedup for tomorrow, but think I'll make a loss on this one. It's for a pub meal but only expenses paid for one and I'll be taking DS, still it's a subsidised Sunday Lunch, so not too unhappy. Have another lined up for later in month too, there's not much about at the mo. Sold one thing on ebay but will work out postage and fees before I declare.Official DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

No actual £ to add to total at the minute but I have managed to get 18 items listed on ebay today and have a bid on a £5.99 item already.
Can't remember who posted the advice re: doing 1 day listings on free listing weekends - but whoever you were thanks!! Have given it a try today and listed all items on a 1 day auction. I know it is on a lot less time but I have the opening bid set on what I would be happy to get for the items and what doesn't sell I can list again tomorrow night for free for a further 7 days.
The majority of stuff I have on will mainly fetch between £2 and £7 range with the exception of a DVD box set which I have listed for £15 and a leather jacket which is practically new which I have on for £34 opening bid. I don't expect it to sell at this point TBH but I have been pleasantly surprised in the past and thought might as wellchuck it on there!!
Well done - some fantastic totals being posted on here. Keeps me motivated to keep plodding on with it!!0 -

What are the conditions of free ebay listings? I'm trying to list a book and it is still charging me an insertion fee.
TIA!0 -

Thanks for the pinecone link Aesop. Have been trying to register with them on and off for ages and not got anywhere!! Seem to have got a bit further this time, in that they sent me an e-mail with a link to a lot more profile questions. It now seems that I have to wait to see if I am accepted or not. Fingers crossed. Not allowed to give my work e-mail etc and hope that does not got against me as they asked for it as part of the profile process. Anyway........we shall see!!
Aiming to get AT LEAST another 10 items listed on Ebay this afternoon. DH has been up in the loft and located more stuff (mainly clothes that my sons have outgrown - loads of next etc so might as well list).
Been looking into mystery shopping a bit more too as all the £5 and £10 add up. Not quite sure how much of a time commitment it will be, but I do have a day off work in the week and could do some while the kids are in school. Thinking of signing up with just one company and dipping my toe in before deciding to take the plunge fully (as I understand you have to register as self employed for tax etc).
Anyway.......better stop lurking on here and get some listing done!!
ps. what do you mean by invite only? Is that for free listing? Never knew they did that if thats the case.0
