Mizmir, welcome back and you can count it towarda challenge if the money saved can foe this month be put towards debt or savings.

Thanks Aesop. Everything saved at the moment is going towards debt so I guess I can count that - but the savings won't kick in until next month so I will count it then.

    I've been Money Tipped!

Had a few shifts back at work now. Made £30 in tips last weekend, and £20 this weekend. So thats £50 to add. Just checked my surveys/quidcos ect. I have £170 pending in quidco (insurances, upgrades for parents, christmas shopping ect) so hoping that comes before the end of the month. They now have an option to collect payment when you request it. So if my money clears before the end of the month i shall be withdrawing it early!

Few surveys due to pay out. Will sort them this evening i think.

Oh, also got a £25 M&S voucher email the other day. Can't even remember what it is for, but will add to my account.

So £75 for this month so far

    CP xx

EDIT: My sig looks all empty now i have removed all of 2013 challenges! :(

I have been slacking as I have not been well.

But......I have made £44.59 from quidco and another £33.60 through facebook sales :) No where near the £130 I should be on and this might not even go toward paying my card off as I am so skint! but I will be happy to get through this month without putting anything on my credit card!!

I heard about it from some thrifty blogs I read - Savoo (a company) run this contest annually for the UK's Smartest Shopper and the prize is £10,000 and help with a blog for a year. I'm still really upset that I didn't win, but making it to one of ten finalists was a pretty big deal! It was a fantastic experience and three of the judges were thrifty bloggers (whose blogs I read) so it was a very surreal day.

          3. happy monday all :)

Nothing new to add for me, but I did take great pleasure in moving all the money I would have spent on mobile bills, 1 credit card, and the extra i've been paying sky, totalling £90 over to my savings pot :)

It's not really "savings" as it will all go towards debts, but I like to stash up amounts and then pay a couple of hundred extra off things. Makes a bigger dent and feels more satisfying ;)

While I have used this site on and off for years I rarely bother looking at the forum but will take time as there are some interesting posts and ideas. I like the sound of this as it is a good idea to set targets.

Look forward to reading and learning more tricks and tips

Some headway made though no credit to me - £3 payout from Greenmetropolis and £2.44 in interest on savings. Plus another £5 made this month on OnePoll. Close to cashing in now - hope I can do it in January.

Sofas didn't sell on ebay - any suggestions on how I can get rid of elderly (but functional) sofas for free? I don't want money for them but don't want to pay someone to take them to the dump.

Freecycle, freegle, facebook selling pages, some charities who collect furniture will take fo too.
