even now I should goto bed but have loads to do and am hungry0 -
Hi Aesop,
I've only posted once before but can I have a number please!
Have been really taking inspiration from this board by subscribing and reading all the updates every morning and I am pleased to say I have already beaten my target of £5 a day!
By selling our wares on fleabay, gumtr33, music magpi3/zum*/z*ffit we have made £285.60!
And I have a less cluttered house. (Might be more pleased about that then the money actually! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
So, maybe I can go for £10 a day now?!
One thing I wanted to ask, does everyone count the money you would have spent but didn't e.g. savings on bills?
I spoke to O2 as I was paying £22.50 and they said for my usage they could take me down to £11!!! That's less than half! When I asked why I had been paying so much for so long I was told they never check contracts, it's up to customers to do that. They then said... and I quote... "There are loads of people paying more than they would if they signed up today because they don't check.":eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
SO PLEASE CHECK!
They've also given me a rebate of £30 because I never agreed to increase to the £22.50 fee in the first place so my phone bill is almost free for three months! Woo hoo!
Just wondering if I should count £22.50 this month for my challenge?
Anyway, best get ready for work but thanks to everyone for sharing their stories as it is really helping me get the right mindset for the year.
Have a great week.Debt free by Xmas 2014 £7775.64/£13,228.73

Yes you can add the £22.50 if you can throw it at something. Not literally but debts or savings.0 -
Ebay sales over the weekend add up to £34.05, after fees and postage.0

Haven't got off the ground yet this month (started late but still..). I have saved £48-50 a month by cancelling memberships and subscriptions but I don't think that counts does it? Going to sort out some stuff to eBay!0

Morning everyone.
Bit of a tough weekend for me, but I finally have something to add.
Firstly, I got £100 Amazon vouchers for being a finalist in the UK's smartest shopper challenge. I'm not adding them to this challenge, only money, but I was able to treat myself to a GHD hair dryer for free, and I've got a bit of money left over.
Went to Sainsbury's on Saturday and we ended up buying some new bath towels as they were on offer. I also discovered their cosmetics reduced section and got some branded things (John Freida, etc) for 50-75p. I used a £10 vouchers from Valued Opinions, so I've taken £10 out the joint account towards this challenge (challenge money is for debt clearing and honeymoon).
Fiance has paid me back £10 for something I bought using my Paypal money.
And Quidco have paid out £10.99
Does Quidco check in still exist? I tried to do it using the app, but the only things showing were in store cash back, or Click Snap cash back, no check ins. I haven't done them in a few months so there should be a few there.
I also listed some items on a selling community I'm a member of. I'll be parceling tonight so won't add the total yet. Oh and I sold something on eBay for £2.99 with postage so there's probably 20p to add there.
Total so far is £233.53.
And another biggie - Anglian Water are giving us circa £250 back as a leakage allowance, and our monthly bill is reducing from £50 to £20 a month!I like to make money

Some headway made though no credit to me - £3 payout from Greenmetropolis and £2.44 in interest on savings. Plus another £5 made this month on OnePoll. Close to cashing in now - hope I can do it in January.
Sofas didn't sell on ebay - any suggestions on how I can get rid of elderly (but functional) sofas for free? I don't want money for them but don't want to pay someone to take them to the dump.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Have you tried Gumtree or local Facebook groups? Also, some charity shops accept furniture - I know that Sue Ryder, BHS and Emmaus around here do, plus we have a few local charities that do too.I like to make money
