  • Hurrah! My ebay bits have sold. Ebay and paypal fees are a whopping 15% altogether, so they're whipping almost £20 off me for exactly the same service they would have provided for something that sold for 99p. No wonder so many people are flocking to their local sell and buy sites on Facebook.

Just realised that the rules have changed so that ebay get a cut of the postal fees too. With postage costs being what they are, how on earth are small businesses surviving on ebay these days? The margins must be super tight.

Anyway, enough of the gripes - my total for today is £113 and that is not to be sniffed at! Especially when I sold a gifted nail polish that I wouldn't use, and an item that I paid far less than retail for to test.

Does this mean I don't need to do anything for another 10 days? ;)

Can I please sign up for £15/day as I've already made a huge dent and want to push further.

I was a good MSE devotee and used the money from M&D to clear a small niggly debt of £190 and am now £25pcm better off for no longer having to make that payment. However I'm going to throw the £25pcm at one of my credit card debts so won't actually have it in my pocket, but I'm still proud to be 1 debt down 1 week into the new year :) great start eh?

    But now for the biggy!

So adding my £30.70 sky saving on to my total above brings me to £360.10 :D I have a very proud face right now ;)

welll done to DGF!!!:T:T:T:j:j:j:j she deserves a few of these. And well done to you for paying off a debt and committing to throwing the savings at another debt.:money::T

    Will update challengers later.

    Hi All :)

I'm new to this but would like to give it a go please... could you put me down for £10 a day?

I have already sold a number of DVD's for £40 and something on facebook for £6
The rest of my DVD's I have put on music magpie (which I've never used before so hopefully they'll give me what they said) and they have offered me £45.44 which I need to send the DVD's off for first!
Then I'll go through my CD's too....

So what does everyone else do to make £10 a day

    :)

well done. I will add you to challengers later.

have a read of the first two posts and all the posts by challengers, explaining what they do ;) that will help.

    welcome :hello:

well my ebay stuff didn't sell :( and had a nightmare of a day.

been at hospital yesterday and today for an ongoing illness since October. the hospital is not happy with my Drs surgery and are sending them a report. an appointment I had next week they are trying to get pushed to this week as urgent.

so DS was due at school today... XandersMum :o my text to you must have sounded really stupid! so got a call while I was at the hospital asking where he was and could I bring him in? No chance! I was not leaving hospital to lose my place and I am glad I stayed even though I now have a blackmark against me :(

    ach well. can't be helped.

so 1p roadkill in tatco yesterday where I was using coupons but will not include in challenge as I am not transferring the money anywhere.

If you are on facebook, check our your local selling pages. A lot of people sell them on mine but don't except hundreds even if you paid it. People are looking for a bargain. Otherwise, mumsnet, netmums, craigs list, gumtree.
  • Woohoo, I've made my first few £'s £10 for taking up some trousers and £3 from a survey. I've got some other extra money coming this week but won't count it until it's in my hand :-)
