Hi all

mum2one, thanks very much for the challenge and the extra info. And thank Miss H for our new task.

Because of all the visits, illness etc (etc = excessive internet and worrying about dreadful relationship lol) I've not really done anything much at all.

After reading your posting advice, I have quick letters I need to write to add to cards to Poland and Australia I may do those this evening or else get out the decorations to look through, I didn't put anything up last year. I think I will also make a list of what I've got and add it to a Christmas folder for 2015. I know in previous years I've overlooked certain decorations as I didn't realise I had them and they were in different places.

Dundeedoll, that's an interesting list of clues, as I don't know anything about musicals, I didn't understand some of them and I expect I'll have to begin learning more as I enjoyed reading your post.

What are your work travel plans for the next few months?

Hi,

Please email david.knockton@saga.co.uk with your house number and postcode, and your policy number if you have it to hand, and I will help you.

Kind regards, David.

I hadn't been on here for a while due to problems with computer and/or internet. I am pleased to report that the claim from Saga is now sorted and money in the bank, but have contacted David (as above) to tell him so. I will be making a note of his e-mail address for the future!! hoping of course that a) I won't need to claim and b) that I won't need to complain either!!!

So.... sorry...this turned out to be nothing to do with Christmas!

The food on the cruise was lovely, and not only that but no planning, shopping, cooking or washing up! I have a very sweet tooth and managed to keep away from the worst culprits: doughnuts and Danish pastries- only ate 2 of each in 4 weeks!! Then danced every day - except in force 8 gales- so only put on 2lbs!

December tomorrow. Oh dear. Have started the present sorting but not the packing. At the moment blaming all the stuff laying around as due to Christmas when in reality it is me being....untidy!!

I have started my Christmas phone calls- that way I don't pay postage and I ask the recipient not only not to send a card but to put the money in their favourite charity box. Can't order my on line e-cards....that's my computer's fault. We reckon I have messed up the firewall.......so I shall be contacting a little man to fix it this week!!

Keep sane and have fun everyone!

Katiehound - the trip sounds amazing, you have more will power than me, I'm afraid they would be on my plate from the start...

have to say a good day, did a Christmas fayre, we made £125... (got to take £30 back as I prepaid the tables - took a chance on 2 tables), so weird as had the stuff for 2 tables, but sold stuff from only 1 table, and I did 4 palm readings, the 1st lady was gob smacked esp when I said abou visiting the great wall of china - she'd only put it on her 50th birthday to do list, this morning....

A bit of a rest this week, no hospital appointments for grandad hoodie, - so xmas plannin, card writing, and another fete on Friday - thou doubt that be as good... xx

Pondicherry in January, probably Riyadh February so far. Teaching in Dundee in March and April so juggling teaching and travelling is getting more difficult.

Took mum ages to get American in Paris :D She'll get today's straight off cos we saw betty blue eyes together in Oxford in June.

If you managed to pack a shoe box or two for the "link to Hope" charity just to tell you that one HGV has already reached Bulgaria and there are photos on their website (use the facebook link on the R) for as recently as Saturday showing the reaction of the folk receiving them. Some boxes were distributed to refugees from Syria now staying in Sofia.
Just so pleased I made the effort... I already have a couple of bags full of items acquired for 2015 boxes!! (I over estmated plus also bought nice items at car boot sale when my boxes were already packed)

I discovered my cousin, despite being asked otherwise had written a card for me but I phoned before the stamp was affixed! So I told him to use it for someone else.... seems he had written "You're never ****** at home! Guess you are probably in the arctic or outer space!" Thought that was quite funny as I have been at home without gallivanting for just over a month.

Hope everyone is staying calm and collected... no mad panics. Stay safe and stay well.
