    Xmas Saver!
We had a eventful afternoon Miss Hoodie got in a pitch over her mole at one stage the Dr wasn't going to remove it, that was just after the swab, but pleased to say she had it done, she's got 2 stitches in the back of her neck, we've got to have the out next Friday.

The mole has been sent off for testing, so fingers crossed.

It broke my heart, I know its the right thing as it had changed, and the position right on her hairline it was at risk of getting tangled in brushing her hair.

    ---
Digressing - had a brainwave tonight - spare diary - and we have a habot of mislaying receipts - so using the diary to enter the store and item under the date and if 1yr or 3 yr guarantee.. then staple the receipt to that weeks page.

Managed to get rid of 8 receipts that had been in back of purse....

    Hope everyone ok, xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

good idea about the receipts mum2one. You're right about the mole - defo the right thing to get done. I had to have a biopsy done of my tongue a couple of years back (couldn't talk for nearly a week!!!) oh the relief of when the all clear comes through. Will be thinking of you both.

Polish meal was 'interesting' lol. Very sweet of him, and he bought far too much so yesterday we had a 'finishing up' meal and mum came round. It was great. I made a pasta bake from the left over split yellow pea thing (a lot of my veggie cooking is described as thing rofl), we cooked the rest of the pierogis, the one linda mccartney pie left, the linda mcc sausages, served with salad and accompanied with much laughter. Oh and finally got round to flaming the xmas pud (which he was very keen to see). Have got the few leftovers from the first course in my tiffin pot for lunch today. He's now gone back via a 2 day stay in Edinburgh, but I see him again in May when I go out to Krakov University to deliver a workshop.

My other bit of news is...
Rather than doing surveys (which I did try but never got anywhere and would often find they already had enough like me so no thanks) I decided instead to enter caption / tiebreaker competitions. Well yesterday I received my first win - a £50 M&S voucher which my Polish friend says I must spend on something frivolous and just for me.

    Hi all

DundeeDoll - well done on the win! Yes, I agree with your friend, buy something you fancy.

Years ago I used to write letters to newspapers and magazines - about 9 out of 10 were printed, I aimed for the ones with cash or gifts. I forgot all about that hobby until today. Maybe you could try that too.

I wondered what was in the pierogis if everything else was vegetarian - normally it's rice and meat (family are Polish) it's been years since I've made them. I've got a liking for Linda M sausages lately.

I can't imagine having something done on my tongue!!! so glad all was ok for you.

Mum2one, poor Miss Hoodie, she really is going through it lately. That's a good idea with the receipts.

I've made great strides this week, trying a different approach to my to do lists (including personal) as I avoid so much normally. I've challenged myself to do them for 5 days in a row.

    This week I've done -
put junk mail straight into a bag for recyling as soon as it comes through the door - finished

    Finishes Friday pm -
    no bread
    no pastry or pasta
    no butter or marge
    empty sink overnight

    Finishes Saturday pm -
no complaining in thought, word or deed
nothing online except forums, FB and email
    to do list
    special occasions
    read Grimms fairy tales
    no sauce eg ketchup

    writing - finishes Monday

So with the special occasions so far I've tidied my stash. Updated lists. Forecast budget. Had talk about DS2 envelopes with support worker - will be getting email about them. Not yet sure what I'll tackle today.

Rufus - how was the hospital?

    How is everyone else doing?

Oo better make a start then :D (I did have an empty inbox before Singapore but came back to over 400 boo hoo)

    Hi all

    Wow dundeedoll, 400 emails

What kind of scripts did you mark - if I'm allowed to ask, curious you know. When I first read your posts about overseas travel I presumed you worked for an airline.

Each week I'll add a new list on here to keep me on track and plan to vary the challenges. Hopefully that way I can finally sort myself out.

Mum2one, I hated the MRI, was so painful having to lay still for 45 minutes on my back. They didn't tell me anything. The bloke who did the ultrasound said my left shoulder is definitely a lot worse than my right, it wasn't moving about when he was trying to manipulate it for the scan. It flipping hurt too lol. I managed to get an appointment with the consultant for 26th feb so not too long to wait.

    Hi all

Rufus sorry to hear about your time in the hospital, does this mean you are unable to do any of your sewing and other projects?

I can still sew Angela, although I have not motivation at the moment, need a big kick up the rear lol. I have had such a lot going on the last few weeks and I have not been in the mood. I did go up and print out some bag patterns this morning so might make it up there soon to start cutting out.
