Hi all
I would really appreciate if people could sign the e-petitions at epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/58303 and post this link to their facebook status / forward it to friends and families.
I felt enough was enough and something has to be done about these mobile companies who feel its okay to charge consumers for a 0800 0845,0808 0500 numbers even thought you have free minutes on your monthly contract.
please help me to reach 100,000 plus signatures

You are a bit too late and can exclude 0800 an 0808 from your petition. Am not sure about 0500.

I have used WeQ4u twice now and seems good so far.
Although i have had a company mention not to use them for their 0800 number and to use a landline number instead.

Why are you campaigning for an issue that HM Government and the European Commission have already addressed through Regulation 41 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments) Regulations 2013 and Article 21 of Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights? From 13th June 2014, 084 and 087 numbers will be banned for customer service lines.
When you call an 084 or 087 number, the called party receives revenue, either financially or through a non-financial benefit such as call routing services. Given that this premium is paid to the called party, why do you expect the caller's provider to absorb this increased cost and make a loss?
You seem to be campaigning about something you know very little about, but I hope that I have at least brought you some good news.0
