120 mobile minutes and unlimited UK landline calls?

Picked up a Virgin SIM pack.
It says for £10pm, I can get "120 mobile minutes and unlimited UK landline calls"
It also says "Plus keep your £10 credit to spend how you like, when you like"
Is this correct, or is there a catch?

It all looks legit' on their PAYG 'Big Talk' tariff (scroll down).
Excellent deal if you call a lot of landlines.

The catch to me seems to be, forget to top £10 for one month, use 120 mins of calls at 35p a min, costs £42.00. Plus texts at 12p times how many texts you make the following month. Not so bad a deal if you've got a good memory. Still a lot of money these days, better deals out there.0

You couldn't run up £42 of calls, as this is PAYG.Still a lot of money these days, better deals out there.
Could you point me in the direction of something suitable for my needs, which is lots of landline time, no data, and very little mobile calls and texts?0 -

Not really, I have a sim from Last year, remember to top up before the calender month ends as the allowance begins at the 1st of every month, I still have the full £20 credit on the sim, oh and if you have Virgin BB, and you register the sim, you get unmetered virgin mobile to virgin mobile calls too.0 -
Sounds like just what I need.
I'll need to use SAYNOTO0870 a lot but, other than that, it seems ideal.0 -

Possibly not. Most unpopular 084/087 customer services numbers can be called by using www.weq4u.co.uk 03 access number, out of your inclusive landline minutes.0 -
I rang VM, and the gentleman I spoke to, assures me there's no catch, so I've signed up to it.
Had to buy an extra phone, as I can't be without my existing number right now.
When the Big Talk Tariff comes into effect (1st of January), I'll port my number, then put a new sim (with a tenner on it) in the old phone, as an emergency backup.0 -
You could easily reduce the monthly cost from £10 to £5.50 (and still keep the free 120 minutes and unlimited landline calls):-
Top up with the required £10 (to qualify for the free land line calls) and then cash in the mobile credit at Getpoundsback.
This method would also avoid accumulating too much unused credit if you're mostly using just the free calls.
