The minutes are in addition to what you get from topping up your standard plan, such as T-Mobile Smart Packs or the new Dolphin plan on Orange. So they don't cost you any extra.

I tried activating this offer on a couple of old Virgin SIMS but it won't allow me send the activation text to 441. :mad:

Can anybody suggest a workaround?

The offer has nowt to do with Virgin Mobile !!!

Given that its restricted to EE,Orange, and T-Mob I am not surprized . But just in case have you tried texting the other access codes and not just 441.

Indeed. To claim this is free would be a breach of Schedule 1 Regulation 20 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
