I have had Sky broadband for around 5 years.
I get around 10Mbps on a 45db line.
For the first couple of years customer service was poor, latterly it has improved vastly.
Problems that I have had were mostly line faults which required BT Openreach to come out with their TDR and trusty Krone tool, so far on three occasions, that's the problem with the old telephone infrastructure and is the same for all ISPs.

It costs me £7.50 a month for unlimited ( I have Sky TV) plus line rental

Too late to take the early migration offer of free tv and broadband, if you take their phone, then.


Taking their line rental would reduce your broadband to £10. The price is similar to BT's but has inclusive 1471, 1571 and caller display. Anytime calls is £2 cheaper (£5), but no 'free' evening calls , as with BT legacy renewal.

My bband was off when I tried to go online on Friday morning, Plusnet switched on Friday night.

The bband was very slow so I contacted Plusnet and they are running tests on the line. Speed has increased but slightly slower speeds than o2/Sky atm
