Orange - Terrible Customer Services

You think the jiffy bag will arrive? There's one born every minute. This is ORANGE we're talking about!!
Methinks 7 hours isn't long enough to realise that when they DO promise something it rarely materialises!0 -
As a fellow orange customer who has experienced similiar incompetence, I had no problems at all reading the whole post.., and sadly was not surprised at the run around experienced which was not too different to mine (although a different problem).
Another Orange customer who will find another company to deal with as contracts end.0 -

We asked for a jiffy bag to be sent, which arrived, but supposedly never reached them back. It took 6 months and a day in court to get it sorted out
Yesterday, had a message from them telling me my bill isn't paid. It was paid 3 weeks ago (and I have transaction code)
Hang in there, it will be sorted out....eventually!

I also READ the op,s post and i really feel for him.
Orange customer service is an absolute joke.
My mobile contract is in it,s last two months and i guarantee that I will NEVER use Orange/EE or whatever they want to call themselves these days again!0 -
I worked for a mobile phone retailer from 1995 to 2003, and I had an Orange phone from 1995 for one year, before I realised how poor their service is. All they do is quote from rule books with absolutely no discretion given to individual circumstances. I don't blame the managers, I'm certain their hands are tied. I will never buy another orange phone.0

Thanks for all the responses and for taking the time to read my ramblings, I appreciate it was a long one. I just felt it might be worth doing if it made others think twice before going with Orange and falling foul of such rouge practices.
The fact that others are recognising some of the issues is very interesting.
I have no problem with companies making mistakes, or individuals getting it wrong, it happens. What matters is how they seek to put it right.
I'm quite surprised that such a long standing, well known company as orange has apparently managed to carry on like this for so long.
Anyway, cheeky little pink iPhone 5C ready to go under the tree for the Mrs tonight. Looking forward to seeing her open it!
Merry Christmas All!0 -

when i was with T-Mobile i had the same problem. but it was about the sim card.
After so many calls got no where so i gave up. a weeks later i got the sim card. then all was ok for few months.
EE took over and send me a 4G sim. my phone is a 2G/3G old phone. so had to call them and told them that it was no use.
weeks later i got a EE bill for the 4G sim card which i have not even used.
Had to call EE so many times about it. And at last got to speak to a manager who then said it was mistake.
Now im on 3 network Pay as u go and im very happy with itWhat happens if you push this button?0 -
I too read the whole post as I am experiencing problems with orange and have been on the phone for over 6 hours in 5 days and still don't have an iPhone that works!! I've been lied to, cut off, promised return calls which NEVER materialise, been told I am not allowed to speak to managers and now told that no-one can do anything else until tonight (72 hours after they last promised they could fix the problem!!! Needless to say i am not holding my breath!!!!!!0

You may find this helpful, written complaints address (not easy to find)
ComplaintsInvestigation Team, EE 6 Camberwell Way, Sunderland, SR3 3XN
and an email address customer.relations@orange.co.uk. Have tried the email today, will see if I get more luck than 2 hours on the phone. They are polite but anything slightly complicated gets the runaround, promises of call backs, cut offs etc. I am not happy, all I was trying to do was transfer my old phone number....

I emailed EE yesterday on customer.relations@orange.co.uk and received an apology and a £20 credit today, so it does work....0
