What a load of tosh that frog tape is

My wife used the said 'Frog tape' whilst she was painting a straight line in our kitchen wall a set distance from the worktop. Everything seemed to be going fine until she came to pull off the tape shortly after completing her paint job. As she removed the tape I heard a disappointed cry coming from the kitchen only to find that the 'tape had removed, in places, the paint that it was sticking to which had been painted a week before.
Why it did this perhaps an expert may tell us soon.0 -

Well i peeled the tape off yesterday. It didn't turn out TOO bad actually to be fair.
However i've bought a paint guard & i'll just be using that now. Much easier (i'm guessing).0 -

I actually just bought some Frog to counteract that problem..
Managed to $%^ up a perfectly painted wall by using cheap masking tape. Your report does not give me hope! Debt free as per 22/12/16 -

What paint guard have you bought?
How many gimmicks are you going to buy before you learn to paint?0 -

Turned out to be crap.
As many as i want to would be the answer. How many gimmicks are you going to buy before you learn to paint?
In the end they (B&Q) finally got in a cutting in brush after having sold out for days & the same with Wilko's.
While i may not have the lines as perfect as a proper painter/decorator, they're not too bad & better than using tape & guards.
The room should be finished today once that final coat i just put on dries. Only problem is the colours looked fine on their own & even together when i put samples on the wall to see how they look dried out & together. When i did entire walls though, i'm not too keen. The paints been bought now though so i'll learn to like it.0
