Toy cars - ok to get rid of?

I'm 34, my parents still have a lot of the cars I had as a child and their grandchildren now play with them when they are visiting. I'd go with the suggestions above to find a new home for them. The toy cars that are worth a fortune are usually pristine and so haven't ever been within arm's reach of a child let alone played with which to me seems rather sad.0

Ds was overjoyed by DHs battered old cars, even though they look knackered he plays with them every day. What has value to adults and what has value to kids are totally different things!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

You must have kept them this long for a reason. Don't regret throwing them out or giving them away! They can't take up that much space surely?0

Thanks for all the answers! It's actually my mum who kept them and then donated them to me a few months ago. She's a bit of a hoarder, so they have no emotional attachment for me. I sorted them out and chucked the duff ones in the bin and the better ones live on through my godson! And I have space in my house again!0

Freecycle sounds like a good idea then.
