Toy cars - ok to get rid of?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I'm 27 and have just come across my old toy cars I used to play with 15-20 years ago. None of them are in especially good condition and a number of them have been "painted". The cars are mainly from the 1970s and 1980s and don't have original boxes or anything. I am desperate for more space and would like to throw them away as I can't see that there's any way they'll be worth anything. Anybody know whether I'm right?

Just get rid, why wouldn't you?0

A quick ebay search would determine if they were worth anything...but unless they are part of a certain set or something I highly doubt it.People don't know what they want until you show them.0

Pop them into one of the charity shops ....friends with grandchildren are always looking for extra cars for grandchildren to play with!0

It sounds like these are just for the bin, really.
No! Kids won't care! So long as they're not broken and could cause damage to little fingers, a kid won't care they've been painted nor that they're tatty."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I'd give them to a child if I knew one who'd like them, I don't know that there's much point taking them to a charity shop though if they're a mess. They'd probably end up thrown away anyway as 'not fit for sale'.0 -
Freecycle. That way they go to a good home with minimal effort from you. I'd have them for my son, battered or not.0

People sell old battered bundles of cars on ebay. As long as the wheels kind of turn, kids don't care.
Try selling them on a local facebook group or give them away on freecyclemShould've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

DS (and me and DH) love the old battered but still usable, played with cars, much more exciting to find than some of the new ones!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Ok, consider me corrected!
Freecycle sounds like a good idea then.0
