New Broadband offer from EE

Hi

At present I take my line rental, unlimited broadband and Daytime, Evening & weekend calls from EE and pay £24.50 a month. My contract expires on 25.01.14

In true MSE form I've begun to shop around & see what else may be available. I can see decent Primus deals, but they expire on 07.01.14.

However, talking to EE just they've offered me the following (on a 12month contract)

Truly Unlimited Broadband
12 months line rental
Unlimited Day, evevning & weekend calls (We use approx 6 hours of landline calls a month)
and
1,000 minutes of calls to any other mobile too - which for me on 100 minutes a month will come in really handy!

All this for £20.75 a month

Me thinks this a decent deal?

Have you had any service issues with their broadband or phone line? If not then bite their hand off and take the deal then.

Is the offer valid only for 12 months then you revert to their standard pricing? Or is it a permanent offer for the duration of you being a customer of EE?

If you're not sure I would clarify..

Since joining them in January 2013 EE have given me the best service I've had to be honest (Been with BT and Sky before that). No issues to speak of as such.

The contract is a 12 month deal. I've seen many deals that are 18 months and offer "x" rate for 12 months before reverting to another price for the last 6 months, but this EE deal is just a straight £20.75 for the 12 months. I'm happy enough with a 12 month contract for this 'cos I like to review my options fairly frequently (as opposed to say Gas & electricity - I'm fixed until March 2015 with that).

If you've had no issues with them then I see no reason why not to take it. As you said you can review or try get a similar offer again in 12 months time.

I guess I'll renew with them. I have time on my side at present to continue to monitor the market for a better deal; but this looks competitive.

I spoke to Tesco yesterday and was looking at their £14.90 a month deal. Alas I'm "not in their area" so the advertised £14.90 actually increases to £24.90 for me.

That's very reassuring. Had problem with line and the rest with SKY who have not been helpful at all and refusing to take responsibility. Now switch with EE and hope we can get the matter resolved. I've had excellent customer service with them in relation to mobile contract, so hoping it will also apply to broadband package.
