Thankfully no flooding where I live so I count my blessings there.
Me too!! Can't do a thing with mine!! Just had it cut so wanted to ditch the ponytail look but whenever I go out come back looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards. Still as you say Bitsy"]it could be worse.
Happy Valentines Day. Whether you have a significant other or not (or don't like the one you do have)definitely don't:rotfl::rotfl: just enjoy the love you do have in your lives, wherever it comes from
H is being a d*ck again! Won't bore you with the details but he really is reminding me of his father, sulking and acting up, trying to make the family feel guilty about things. I just can't be ar*sed with it all it's so boring:mad: I've got more mportant things to worry about DD2 still isn't right after several trips to docs with one even asking me what she should do. Will try to stick to the one we like though as she's a bit more understanding. Hopefully we'll get there in the end.
Dry and sunny here for a change hope it is where you are.
take it easy enjoy the rest of your weekend.:)Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

My roots are terrible and I think it's about time for a new hair colour. I always do it myself, but I'm going to a hair dressers for a colour consultation this week so I may pay to have it done professionally. I'm working so hard on trying to get my healthy that messing about with it myself seems like a mistake. No more goo hoarding!

Sorry life is tough at the moment Lizzie.
Right I am going into super fabbing mode! We went to look at holidays and will likely be going somewhere requiring beach attire over the summer:eek: so I need to lose weight, tone up and look fabulous!
To start I am heading to the kitchen to clear out all the rubbish we have been given and then I am going to meal plan some super healthy meals and order the food to be delivered so I am not tempted at the supermarket.
Also going to order a new fitness DVD and start properly exercising. I have been unfit and overweight for too long and enough is enough!!!!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I'm with you Rummer - I have to go away with work for a few days at the beginning of April and there will be shorts required
started the 30 Day Shred again today in anticipation! Didn't have chance to do my face mask today, but am still slapping on the Dove summer glow lotion which helps.
Have you tried Groupon or the other voucher sites for hair offers, Piratey and Bitsy? I have naturally [STRIKE]frizzy[/STRIKE] wavy hair and now have the Brazilian blow dry done every few months; it saves me so much time getting ready, drying hair, straightening hair etc, I just think it's great. But even if you don't need that, there's plenty of offers on cuts and colours.
Lizzie - I hope things improve for you soon! Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Morning all! Hope we're all well?
I'm with Rummer and Rubyslippers with the body overhaul!
Its half term and I've started a 5 day blitz to kickstart my eating well and looking after myself fabbing reboot.
I'm doing a 3 day fruit detox - only fruit and water and a little bit of natural bioyoghurt. Had a banana so far today and have a fruit mountain in the kitchen ready to consume. Its supposed to reset your body and then you reintroduce more normal food slowly after losing the water bloat you carry around.....we'll see how it goes. Good job I like fruit!
Second on the list for today - haircut at 1.30, it's desperate for a good tidy up and a little restyle, its really long (for me) now and I like the length but its looking quite tatty so a good reshape will hopefully get it back into looking healthy again. I'm also having a light tan done today.
Did my eyebrows and fingernails last night and a face scrub and actually remembered to put serum and night cream on last night and got 7 hours sleep (a marathon for me!).
Fling is away snowboarding until Friday with his son and so I aim to be a bronzed, groomed goddess for his return :rotfl:
Off to Wales to see family for a couple of days tomorrow and then seeing friends on Thursday evening and Friday - will be good to catch up.
Right, time for a quick shower and tidy up before the next round of fruit......0 -
Pretty pleased, I took my measurements again last night, and I have lost another half an inch off of my waist and off of my hips! I really didn't expect that because I've not been pushing it especially hard at the gym lately and I'm not really carrying any extra weight. I tell you ladies, heavy lifting is the way to go! I can't believe how much my shape has changed! I've also joined a members only club through work that has a gym, so I should be able to fit in some lunchtime workouts, which would be a great tie saver. No more goo hoarding!

First day of the holidays and already I have a blinding headache

Not surprisingly lizzie, I thought of you when I read this. Loving your attitude!:A
I'm another big fan of Groupon. I must look into the Brazilian blow dry but I think it probably works for thicker hair than mine.
I was reading an article about Hillary Clinton yesterday and although partly to do with US politics it gave some interesting insights into views on fabness too. First, the view that older men are looked on far more favourably in the media than women. So no surprise there then! Then they said that she'd rather lost touch with the people as for the last twenty years or so she hadn't driven a car, done her own hair or make up! It really isn't a level playing field is it between the likes of us trying to be fab under our own steam and the celebs we see in the papers! I'd just love my own personal hairdresser.:)
We had a lovely day yesterday: local trains are doing a winter sale with a weekend return to London for £10, about a third of usual price. DH and I took a No.11 bus ride that goes from Chelsea, through Westminster and down into the City. Weather was crisp, clear and sunny so that helped. The we went to National Gallery, mainly to see Van Gogh's sunflowers but then an interesting hour or more with the Impressionists. Followed by a good walk to a restaurant and then another longish walk back to station. So a bit of exercise and plenty of culture. Quite a fab day!
Ankles aching today from all the walking but hopefully I'll be fine for my dancing tonight.
You're doing brilliantly rummer and pq, with your exercise and you too ruby although I think the shred sounds:eek: Perhaps our next challenge needs to be the bikini body!;)0 -

When I wrote the Valentines bit I confess I did have Lizzie in mind
I've actually been looking forward to half term, no major plans other than dog walking every day. Given the weather recently I didn't want to start making plans in case the rain scuppered them. Not sure what caused the headache but I've taken some painkillers and I am just plodding slowly with my housework.
I have Shred but it being so hard always puts me off:o I tend to go bull at a gate and then feel the worse for it after
Maman your day in London sounds lovely
WW enjoy your detox, my hubby is doing Joe across juicing thing. I have to say. I can't stomach the idea of veggie juices. I would rather eat the whole vegetable
Rubyslippers my hair is not overly wavy, more funny kinks. It was more poker straight pre kids but since having them the kink has got stronger. Given my hair is fine (but a lot of it) I am wary of too many treatments etc.
Pirateyqueen you been lifting any weights in particular? Well done on your inches.
Lizzie can I say a year or so ago your OH would have massively brought you down. But it's lovely to see you more impervious to his emotional mind games :T keep it up girl
Hugs and high fives all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Thanks
I've been consistently doing heavy squats, deadlifts, over head press and bench press. I've also more recently started incorporating dumbbell bulgarian split squats and weighted hip thrusts. No more goo hoarding!
