Second hand electric cooker connected but no power......

    So the question is, where is the other end of the cable connected to the CCU if its not in the cooker switch? ;)

    Can you take a photo of the inside of the cooker switch showing the cables connected and also the back box and where the cable comes into it?

    Here are the requested pictures, as you can see the wires are connected to the mains part of the plug but underneath this is the holes for the cooker.

    You will also see the white wire laying dormant which hasnt been stripped and connected. :( Just phoned the housing association and they are coming out on Monday.

    It would appear that the insulation of the white cable has been damaged by the fixing screw. It will need checking to make sure it is safe.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.

    Yeah i noticed that myself, i will make sure its pointed out to them.
